Quadcopter Motor Fundamentals | Interview With Ryan Harrell

The Emax 2306/2750kv motor pulls up to 50 amps on the bench. It's not as if smaller, less power-hungry motors are struggling with 5" props. So is there even a point to running this motor at all??? I started to wonder if Emax was just playing a numbers game: if 2205 is good, then 2306 must be better!
To help answer the question, I called in Ryan Harrell, whose web site, miniquadtestben..., is THE compendium of motor and ESC data. He taught me all about how to analyze motor specs, and ultimately answered my question about the Emax motor.
