@@JamesTirrellcan you go more in detail on how you make your music? I would love to see a breaking down video of i dont resent you i just repent you, demon. That would be awesome
Came out sick! Also that reaper pitch envelope just changed my life, I've been adding reapitch vst before the amp and an automation envelope and all along you can just do it on the waveform by right clicking, so much better.
first of all, I'm reporting you to Cockos 😂 but also, here are a bunch of things you can do to improve your workflow and be even faster -are you even on the latest version of reaper? dark theme looks cooler and it's default now -in the midi editor, you can select between the rectangles for pitched instruments and diamonds or triangles for drums, much easier to see where everything is -midi editor grid options at the bottom left, you're on 64th notes which is why you're struggling to line stuff up, use 1/8 or 1/16 unless you need faster, I switch all the time, just scroll wheel over the grid box and it'll switch without clicking -either use a midi keyboard for programming drums or use the virtual midi keyboard in reaper and play the drums in on your normal keyboard, you can use record input quantizing set to 1/8 or 1/16 and it'll grid up everything from the start too - saves a lot of time if you're doing speedruns and easier to come up with cool parts -another hacky alternative to programming bass is to just copy the main guitar part onto a new track, use ReaPitch or something to shift down an octave and run through a bass amp sim. not as good as real bass, but really fast and can sound decent enough for a sketch leads were still sick despite time constraints 🤙
