Good explanation papa. Thanks for the shout-out! The main thing for 05-06 is the Dakota box for the vss since is a different signal from the 02-04. If I'm remember correctly, Spaz had a glitch until 5 mph without the Dakota box and one the day the steering wheel got crazy moving around. It feels great to have power steering back though 😂
Can u show how u mounted the eps box and where did u route the harness to the engine bay? I think the eps in the ep3 is mounted to the side of the hvac (passenger side) dc5 has a different hvac.
If you have kpro you don’t need the Dakota box , not sure about ktuner tho . I think I’m going to test it without the Dakota box . I’ll update with results

Does the EPS box get hot after a long trip or a lot of steering is involved? Reason for asking is that I want to install the EPS controller box in my glove compartment.
Hey man I had a quick question about the wiring I am running an 05 06 engine with harness on A 02 04 type S ECU Do I hook the wires up accordingly to your 0506 or since I'm using an 0204 computer do I just wire it like an 0204 I also have a capro jumper harness from A 05 to a 02. I think I may have tapped into the ECU incorrectly since my wire harness was faded and I couldn’t tell if it was blue or green. Decided to go with the green and now I’m thinking maybe it was the blue. Do you know what distinguishes the two harnesses? Is it year or the car? I got mine from a 2002 ep3

Electronic malfunction. Then living in a 3rd world country i have to import rack from Malaysia, England or Japan mine is right hand steering. Hydraulic rack installed and working but rpm dips low when taking all the steering lock to park. So my problem is hooking up the power steering pressure switch two wires to ecm. The green/white wire and black. From checks online the green white wire goes to e plug pin16 and black ground wire A plug A24 brown/yellow. Thanks
Hey man, i hope your eps works like you want it to ! What was your reason to change from hydro rack to a eps rack? I kswapped my 05 em2 coupe, and it's been nothing but trouble since installing the ep3 eps rack... Sticky steering , almost no self-centering , knocking sounds when turning the wheel, not steering straight, no feel at all, .... Did almost everything to better it. -shg rack slider -tegiwa rack raiser -tegiwa adjustable tie rods -hardrace extended ball joints -4-5 different alignements... Nothing changes... Last steps now are rebuilding the entire rack , and adding hardrace reversed tie rod ends and hope for the best ! Congratz on your build!

UPDATE: YOU DO NOT NEED THE DAKOTA BOX. TAP IN FOR VSS, NEP(RPM), AND IG (POWER).

Did you have to activate or sometging in the ktuner ecu? I have a 2005 rsx and did the wiring just as you and its not working with the e9 e25 amd e26

11:41 under gas pedal , remove rug n plastic cover then run it with fusebox harness. didn’t talk about it but u can see it.

Bro didn’t even wire it right 😂 never went over that A24 also wires into the Dakota box as a sensor ground
