Happy for your move but not so happy for poor old Peppercorn left behind. I suppose you had to choose between your dog and your new white carpets Have a nice day!
Actually, all of our dogs have a problem with doing their business on any carpet so it’s best not to assume. I’ve shared this for years. Loving our animals means doing what is best for them. It’s not my intention to involve my audience in these highly personal decisions or issues. Unfortunately we can’t take him with us and for obvious reasons, that question would come up when he is no longer in the videos. I understand how one can start to believe they deserve to be privy to all the details and decisions but we are better off entrusting each man and lady of the house to make the best decisions for their own household without unnecessary judgement.

Thank you for sharing these details. We moved away from Washington state a few years ago, and it was one of the biggest adventures of our lives. (And leaving our church family was one of the hardest parts!) So many good things have happened after that leap of faith - I trust good things are in store for you, too! 🤗 Sending hugs and prayers for a blessed move!
Hi, Nikki! I live in the Netherlands but am currently visiting friends and relatives in UT. I have a Dutch friend in Cedar City and I look forward to seeing her and the city for the first time in years. Nikki, I wish you and your family all the Lord's blessings as you embark on this new and exciting phase in your lives. I can't wait for the videos to be shared! From Susan.
Thank you for sharing the little glimpses into your new home. It looks absolutely stunning! I can't wait to see what you choose to share with us about your move and your new home. We're all so excited for this new chapter of your life.
Nikki we moved from So. Cal to Idaho 3 years ago. We left our kids, grandkids and my immediate family to do this. We love it up here. It was truly a God move and we’ve never looked back. I hope this is a great move for you! Excited to see this new journey for you.
I’ve lived in four seasons all my life - they key to dressing feminine in winter is cable knit tights and fleece lined tights! And long wool coats with a waist tie are incredibly chic and look great paired with dresses. There’s absolutely no reason not to wear a dress 👗 when it’s freezing! I’m warmer in a sweater dress and fleece lined tights than I’d ever be in jeans (which hold cold)! So happy for you!
My husband and I moved to a different state 2 years ago for the same reason you stated. Like you we left friends, family and our church. I also had a garden that I had developed, loved and nurtured for 26 years. Two years in, I can say we are very happy and glad we made the move.
This is so exciting, Nikki! Leaving my hometown for a move to another climate was sad in many ways, but also rewarding. You'll always have something new to experience for a long time. I remember your nice coat collection, which you'll get to use more often!
I am going through a similar situation. I was born and raised in New York. NY has not changed for the better. It is also extremely expensive. Searching for a better life. The plan is to move to Florida in three years when my daughter graduates high school. Good luck! 🙏🏻✝️
Oh my goodness you are moving to where I just moved from! We lived in Cedar City from 2017-2022 while my husband was becoming a helicopter pilot. He even taught others how to be one at the school he went to, SUU. We moved to Pennsylvania in 2022 and we are constantly talking about how much we miss it and want to move back someday. I feel like a part of my soul is still there right now. We do plan on moving back eventually just do not know when that will be. Oh all the walking trails at the parks how we miss them terribly! My husband even took me up in one of the helicopters for my birthday one year. I was scared but wow was it just an incredible view! Good luck to you guys there I know you will absolutely love it! Our daughter started kindergarten there in 2021 and we loved her teacher and school. So I’m sure your kids will love it too! ❤
I have only just started watching your channel and I love how calming and relaxing it is. However, as I watched today’s video I could see the sadness you feel with some of the changes you are going to be making, especially leaving your son. My son got married and moved 6 hours away and I was heartbroken, especially when they had our first grandchild. BUT with the technology we have today, we have been able to chat with them face to face, and we have even had game nights. Your move will no doubt be stressful and a little upsetting at times, but I’m sure like me you will soon settle into your new life, make new friends and have lots of lovely times… I wish you and your family all the best on your new adventure Xx
Ive owned two shark vacuums. I would buy a shark vacuum over and over again. Dyson's are overrated in my opinion. Congratulations on the move!! I can't wait to see the beauty you create in your new home ❤️ I've been watching your channel since before you moved into your current home. Enjoy this new chapter!
Agreed on the Dysons. One of my brothers has very expensive taste (imo), insisting that if something costs more it simply *must* be better quality, and splurged on one years ago when they first became all the rage. He wasn't as impressed as he thought he would be. I also have a Shark and I love it. It's been through a lot with our family lol
@@TheLadyoftheHouse I would also recommend investing in a carpet shampooer. I have carpet in most of my home and I also have 2 cats, a big dog, 2 kids and a husband. The shampooer has paid for itself in the amount of times I've had to use it lol. Definitely a must if you want to keep your carpets clean.
I live in Ohio. Dress in layers for the four seasons. That would be my biggest suggestion. So excited for you and your family and all the coming adventures.
Congratulations! I am so excited for you! As to four seasons there is nothing that can beat wool and layers. You may need to pay attention to your skin care products regarding four seasons as well.
I had no idea the climates would be so different that close together. But I am a lifelong Midwest/Great Lakes girl, so I am unfamiliar with that part of the country. My son is in the San Diego area in the military, and he misses our crazy lake effect weather a lot. He says out west it's either hot or not as hot. 🌞 I pray for many blessings for your family and hope your son will adjust well. 🙏🏻
Congratulations! I love the four seasons where I live. I get to wear summer dresses in the summer and sweaters and boots in the winter. You wear layers in the winter and fall, and you will keep warm that way. My best wishes to you and your family.
I don’t blame you for wanting to move somewhere nicer! I love the seasons. ❤I grew up in Idaho, by the way. And I’ve been to Las Vegas. I couldn’t get home to North Carolina fast enough, though the church and people we were visiting there were lovely!
Dear Nikki, I'm so excited for you- for all the reasons you. mentioned. Utah is a beautiful state. You will love the 4 seasons and it is an adjustment- take it from one who moved from mild rainy Seattle area to the snowy mountains of eastern Washington. Actually, I will look forward to seeing your new winter wardrobe. God will give you a new church family whom you will grow to love. It's been 9 years since we moved and are so blessed by the church family that God provided. May the Lord bless you on this new adventure. I look forward to all the new content you will share. Sending love. Barby, from the Rural Valley. 💖 (I just joined your Patreon 😊)
This sounds like such an exciting move for you! I'm looking forward to seeing the new home and all you do in it. Also, if you love your roses you could always take some cuttings with you to plant at the new house 🌹.
How very exciting! I hope you’ve settled it well. Moving has its pluses and minuses. In every move I’ve made it is my dear friends that I’ve missed most.
How exciting for you and your family! I moved from Southern California to Northeast Ohio and I love being able to experience all four seasons! I pray you and your family enjoy this new change and plant new roots that bear good fruit! I'm looking forward to following along with what you share here on YT!
I look forward to "coming along" with you on the move. How exciting! We are planning a move to a different state in two years, so I will hopefully pick up some tips from you.
Best wishes to you and your family in your move! I moved from Canada to France 9 years ago, and I can happily say that I'm still in touch with lots of friends. My son moved back last year, and as hard as that is, video calls help a lot. At least you're in driving distance! Sending you lots of strength for the weeks ahead!
My husband and I are doing the exact same thing. We bought our house last year and realized that we made a huge mistake. It’s never too late to start over in another state. May God bless you and your family as you step forward in your journey
Nikki- I am thrilled for you! The sneak peeks on TH-cam showcase its beauty wonderfully. I relocated from sunny California to Oregon 22 years ago, and I was genuinely excited about experiencing the seasons and lush greenery, which have truly lived up to my expectations. It’s stunning here. I’ll always remember my first winter; I was quite unprepared for the cold and took some time to adjust my wardrobe accordingly. Change can be invigorating, and I’m happy for your journey. Is your mother staying with you? I recall she used to spend half the year there, but I may be mistaken about her current location. Regardless, I am excited for all of you! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🫶🏼
I am so looking forward to your dress for all seasons videos. I follow you for years and love your dress only warderobe. As i live in Switzerland with cold winters and four seasons i often asked myself how you woud dress with the need of warm tights etc. But for now i wish you all the best for your move!🍀
I’m excited for you and your family! Our good friends moved near cedar city several years ago and love it! We have thought before that that is a place we would consider moving to. We belong to the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints so we have a lot of members there but I know what you mean about it being nice to just live near other people who share similar values. The seasons sound fun and something to get used to! I don’t really have seasons where I currently live in central CA. I think this will be a great move for you! I’m excited to be along for the process.
God will go before you and with you! Yes, there will be a totally different vibe in Utah, but a lot of positive things for your family. I know that your Dad is excited about having you all closer. Looking forward to seeing your new home!
Cedar City, UT is a lovely area. The scenery and climate is perfect (seasons) . Yea!. When weather permits, you must go to Cedar Breaks. The drive there is amazing. All the very best to you and your family. You'll love it there!
We have had to move many times throughout our marriage due to my husband's job. The neat thing was finding a church family in each town and that always helped a place feel like home. Praying for you, especially that you'll be able to see your son often.
Congratulations to you both Nikki on the purchase of your new home and all the exciting changes that will come with it. I'm sure you will make some friends in no time at all. Cheers Bev xx ❤
I'm looking forward so much to seeing your new home and how you'll decorate it. I'm from New Zealand where we have 4 seasons and always dress in layers. Years ago I traveled from LA to NYC and passed through Salt Lake City in Utah. Blessings to you Nikki ❤
Hello Nikki, Congratulations on making this huge decision for your family. How are your daughters coping with this change? Is your mother selling this home to come with you?
Thank you, Julie! The girls look forward to this move and are handling it very well. My mom is keeping her options open with her property. She mainly lives in Arizona with one of my sisters and will always be welcome to stay when she visits Utah 🌹
Hi Nikki l am over joyed for you and your family. The little bit we saw looks amazing. My brother yesterday travelled by car 4hrs to come to my Birthday l was thrilled. People will come and visit you. So thrilled you will have the garden you love and you will be able to make it. So extremely happy for you Nikki. Much love.❤❤
Over 20 years ago, we left California for several of the same reasons you mentioned. We did leave some family and friends behind, but we visit and they visit us here. The kids excelled in the schools here, and we have lovely neighbors now. I personally love the four-season climate. Congratulations on your home purchase! We have relatives in Utah and enjoyed visiting them. It's beautiful there and the people were so friendly! Enjoy!
Well I for one am just so excited to see what you will do in your new home!! We moved into our "forever home" ten years ago and there was so much for me to paint and change and re arrange and decorate. I am like you in that I LOVE to do that sort of thing. I have had a ball! Now I have to say, I am pretty much done. Every window and corner and drawer and wall has had my attention. (I know! Quality problem right?!) Now I almost wish we could move and start a new adventure so I could do it all over again in a new place taking with me everything I have learned. I'll just have to enjoy you doing it instead.
So happy to hear that you are excited to have four seasons😊 I am sure you are going to love it just when you get used to it - and be sure to have clothes that are warm enough 😊 In my country of origin, Finland, where winters can get very cold and snowy, we are raised up by spending a lot if time out in the nature regardless the weather. Actually it is a common practice to let our babies sleep outside in their carriage, even in winter when there might be some minus Celsius degrees (I know this may sound shocking for many, but it is totally natural for us in Scandinavia). Babies wear many layers of woollen clothes and are put in to a sleeping bag and the opening of carriage is covered with a thin muslin clothe, so there is a wonderful fresh "micro-climate" inside the carriage. The babies sleep very well and are very healthy 😊 And an old Finnish saying is "There is no such thing as bad weather, there are only bad clothes". I hope you will have a lot of fun learning all that is new and experimenting. All of the seasons really have their own charm. Also so happy to hear that you will finally be surrounded by greenery. Looking forward the new flourishing rose garden, when it will be time for that. God bless you and have a lively day!❤
I moved to Oregon from Colorado some 13 years ago. Was there most of my life too. A big change but it has been nice to get to the seaside more - don't like it being so "liberal" here but it is changing with time. My husband from England needed a low altitude and not the mile-high climate in Colorado. Being flexible is important but keeping your own beliefs is my priority. So happy for your move and we will enjoy following you and thank you for inspiring us so much in all you do. Cheers and God speed.
Changes can be bittersweet but I just know it’s going to be wonderful for you and send love and light to you and your lovely family. Best wishes Nikki and family ❤❤❤❤❤❤
So happy for you! I’ve always felt you don’t belong in Vegas, being someone who appreciates beauty, color and modesty. None of that comes to mind when I hear “Vegas”. 😏 Looking forward to seeing the new home and garden! Best of luck with the move.
You will not be so far away. Though, if you have never lived outside of Nevada it must seem daunting. We moved from England to New Zealand a few years ago when our kids were very young and I still feel guilty about taking them away from my parents but know it was the right thing for our family.❤ I look forward to your new videos and hope the move is not too stressful.
I love this for you! I have dreams of living in Utah or Wyoming. I am in South Carolina & the humidity & the bugs are no fun. 😆 I can’t wait to see your new home. Such an exciting change!
Congratulations on your decision! I can definitely relate - we moved from the Chicago suburbs to Boise, ID three years ago. I thought I would be so homesick but it was the absolute best decision - so family friendly and safe and so much to do!!! If you ever feel overwhelmed by being Christian non-Mormon definitely consider Boise, a complete hidden gem 😊 I hope you enjoy it and you find a good Church community there ❤ Enjoy!
Nikki, take your time in adapting to the change of seasons. Each has its good and bad qualities. A new adventure awaits you. Enjoy it . When it’s possible, don’t rush. You’re experiencing quite a few emotional changes with this move, positive and negative. Be kind to yourself. Continue to trust in God. He is a prayer away. I am so happy for your family. God bless you all. Sending you a hug.
Congratulations! I think this is a wonderful idea moving to UT to be around others with similar values. As for the clothing, I live where there are four seasons and it gets very cold in winter. My clothing for winter is pretty feminine fit to flare mini dresses with black leggings and Uggs. Haha. I know, the Ugg boots kind of decrease the femininity, but it’s snowy and icy here. If it’s a clear day, I will wear knee high boots or black booties. I keep my skater or fit to flare dress one solid color or a tiny print that has some black in it to pull from the leggings. I love color, so the more skater dresses in pastels colors I can find, the better. I love these dresses in a knit too. So beautiful. I hope this helps. Love, Me. 💗🦋✝️
Hubby & I live in San Diego but we LOVE Utah!!! We don't know anyone there but we go very often. I know you & Jorge will love it there too. Your back yard will be manageable finally. I'm going to join your Patreon so I can see everything! One question... where will your mom & Jorges dad live when you leave? Well, I guess it's 2 questions.... is it still going to be your mom's house? I know those are nosey but I've been watching you so long you seem like a good friend. If Jorge is up for it, have him do a vlog about his feelings and plans like you did. Love you both, ❤ Lisa in San Diego
Oh really? Maybe we can meet sometime when you're in town! I love that the backyard is complete and mature. My mom is keeping her options open about the property but she lives in AZ with one of my sisters most of the time. Jorge's Dad is moving in with Jorge's sister this week. There are so many changes going on with the whole family. It's been quite the month 🌹
With the "increase in population" (that's all I'm going to say) particularly Clark County. these past few years...Leaving a home vacant is very dangerous. People watch and. If no traffic they move in! And with the courts the way they are... it could take close to a year to get them out (& they've trashed it). Please encourage your mom to find (through an agency) renters as soon as possible. Rental agencies are worth every dime. They've made sure the renters are gainfully employed, have an excellent track record of renting and pay on time. I wish all the best for you and your lovely family. ❤ Lisa in San Diego
Congrats on moving! I live in northern Utah and I love having the four seasons (which I did not have in CA where I grew up). I actually like the snow. ❤
I certainly understand what you are saying, and agree with what you said. Sounds to me like God had a hand in this all coming together. So very happy for you guys and can't wait to see all thats to come. Is your mom going to live in the house now ?
All glory to God. I don't doubt His hand has been in it all. No, this house is too big for her. She has other plans and daily lives in AZ with one of my sisters 🌹
So happy for you and your family!! What a beautiful adventure God has blessed you all with! I can’t wait to see all the lovely content that will come from it.
I live in a colder climate in the winter I think the thing that would keep u warmer without being too much bulk is the thicker leggings I like the cuddle duds brand that are made for coldest weather their almost like a fleece material but not too thick I don't like long johns anymore because they lose their shape and look baggy. You can esparement to find what you like the best but that's what I would encourage I also like to wear sweaters we have a company where we live ll bean could order online they have some really nice warm nightgowns etc

Very excited for you guys! Big leap of faith and it will be beautiful! Praying for you guys as you navigate this time.
Absolutely! Thank you 🌹
That is so exciting, Nikki. It will be so fun to watch your new journey and dressing for the season's too. Enjoy.
This sounds like such an exciting move for you! I'm looking forward to seeing the new home and all you do in it. Also, if you love your roses you could always take some cuttings with you to plant at the new house 🌹.
Great idea!
How very exciting! I hope you’ve settled it well. Moving has its pluses and minuses. In every move I’ve made it is my dear friends that I’ve missed most.
Praying for you! May God bless you abundantly ❤
Thank you 🌹
How exciting for you and your family! I moved from Southern California to Northeast Ohio and I love being able to experience all four seasons! I pray you and your family enjoy this new change and plant new roots that bear good fruit! I'm looking forward to following along with what you share here on YT!
So Happy for you all, Looking forward to seeing your New Home Good luck x.
I realise i am a little behind with your new life journey, but looking forward to catching up on your adventures. ❤
I look forward to "coming along" with you on the move. How exciting! We are planning a move to a different state in two years, so I will hopefully pick up some tips from you.
That's exciting! I hope I'll be able to share some 🌹
Best wishes to you and your family in your move! I moved from Canada to France 9 years ago, and I can happily say that I'm still in touch with lots of friends. My son moved back last year, and as hard as that is, video calls help a lot. At least you're in driving distance! Sending you lots of strength for the weeks ahead!
Congratulations Nikki! I know you have wanted to move out of state for a long time. Here’s to the next adventure. ❤
My husband and I are doing the exact same thing. We bought our house last year and realized that we made a huge mistake. It’s never too late to start over in another state. May God bless you and your family as you step forward in your journey
Thank you so much! I love your attitude about that🌹
Nikki- I am thrilled for you!
Congratulations on your new adventure!
We left Vegas this year as well.
Thank you! I hope to a place you love 🌹
@@TheLadyoftheHouseyes!
To Idaho for a lot of the same reasons as you. ❤️
I'm so excited to see how you decorate your new home!
All the best in your new adventure!
God will go before you and with you! Yes, there will be a totally different vibe in Utah, but a lot of positive things for your family. I know that your Dad is excited about having you all closer. Looking forward to seeing your new home!
Amen to that!
So excited for your Move , just to say Enjoy and be Happy, me and my family also moved, still trying things out always x.
Cedar City, UT is a lovely area. The scenery and climate is perfect (seasons) . Yea!. When weather permits, you must go to Cedar Breaks. The drive there is amazing. All the very best to you and your family. You'll love it there!
You have made your house a beautiful home. Congratulations on your move.
Congratulations! I know how long this dream has been on your heart! I quite literally wish you greener pastures 🌹🌳🌷🌲
We have had to move many times throughout our marriage due to my husband's job. The neat thing was finding a church family in each town and that always helped a place feel like home. Praying for you, especially that you'll be able to see your son often.
Thank you 🌹
Congratulations to you both Nikki on the purchase of your new home and all the exciting changes that will come with it.
I'm sure you will make some friends in no time at all. Cheers Bev xx ❤
Thank you, Bev!
Enjoy!
They really are so friendly, it's a different feeling all together. Thank you for sharing what you did and the benefits 🌹
Congratulations on the move,i pray God continues to keep you safe through this move.
You seem very excited! I'm happy for you. And, just with the little peeks, it looks like a "Nikki house."
Thank you! It certainly felt perfect 🌹
God bless you and have a lively day!❤
Woohoo, another Finn! ☺
@@miriam8026 😊👍🇫🇮❤ it makes me happy that we arr two 😊
Congratulations on the move! I went to school at SUU around 20 years ago. Cedar City was a lovely place and I’m sure it still is.
Nevada is really going down the tubes, I don’t blame you.
I am so happy for you and your family. What an exciting time for you!
Thank you!
Thank you so much!
Congratulations Nikki.🎉❤ We look forward to the new content in a new space. We thank God for the move. Variety they say is the spice of life.
Thank you🌹
All the best in your new house. God bless 💐
Exciting and praying you have a easy transition to your new home. It will be fun decorating and settling in! Best wishes!!❤😊
Thank you!
This is very exciting! I can’t wait to come along this adventure with you! It will be stunning and so worth it 🌹
So happy for you! I’ve always felt you don’t belong in Vegas, being someone who appreciates beauty, color and modesty. None of that comes to mind when I hear “Vegas”. 😏 Looking forward to seeing the new home and garden! Best of luck with the move.
Elated for you having a fresh start, Nikki! ♥️🌟. Godspeed.
I’m going to miss you!! Can’t wait to follow along with your new adventure! You’re going to LOVE ALL THE SEASONS!!
Me too!
God Bless your family.
Happy for you!🎉
I love this for you! I have dreams of living in Utah or Wyoming. I am in South Carolina & the humidity & the bugs are no fun. 😆 I can’t wait to see your new home. Such an exciting change!
So excited for the fun organizing decorating videos to come ☺️🤗
Me too!
I am so excited for you! I wish all of you the absolute best and may you all be very happy at your new place!❤
I feel so happy for you and your family! ❤
Yes yes yes. I tell my husband the same thing about the taxes. I want to pay less taxes because I don’t like where our $ is being spent.
Very excited for this new adventure in your family's life.
We are in Oklahoma and we are happy to be in an area with Christian values and kind people so I know you will enjoy having that in Utah too!
You can still keep in contact with the people from church by writing a letter to them or a phone call
Of course, that's why it's not as big of a deal to me to leave.
I add my congratulations and excitement for you and your family.
greenery is a must!
Agreed. It gets pretty depressing without it.
I’m so excited for you and your family ❤🎉
I certainly understand what you are saying, and agree with what you said. Sounds to me like God had a hand in this all coming together. So very happy for you guys and can't wait to see all thats to come. Is your mom going to live in the house now ?
All glory to God. I don't doubt His hand has been in it all. No, this house is too big for her. She has other plans and daily lives in AZ with one of my sisters 🌹
So happy for you and your family!! What a beautiful adventure God has blessed you all with! I can’t wait to see all the lovely content that will come from it.
Thank you so much!
