Fantastic! Thanks so much Gary! I am hoping for: "Part 2: A Deep Dive Into Story Slicing, With Examples and Scenarios" 🤞

I missed the date as well. Glad to be able to watch the video. Nice to see and here you again. And I agree with Estimates being your nemesis. Will watch video again to see how I can converse with my teams about this idea.

Gary mentions that we need to "visualize our work" and that we need to have more columns on the board which are considered "active" based on where there are hand-offs. In other words, you need to make your board match your work centers. In a fully cross functional team, that's going to mean planning, development, testing, release, deployment, and support. We have 9 active columns on the board at work and it's perfect because it allows us to plan, build, and deliver all in one, full vertical slice.

Watching after the event. I have always hated estimates.

For a while I was fascinated by them... and they the turned around and bit me.

I'm bummed. I set a calendar meeting so I can participate, and I set it for the 18th, instead of the 17th. Maybe next time. I will be watching the video though. Thanks for doing this Gary.

Add...Good information. I really appreciate the videos about estimating. That seems to be the "bane of my existence". I am a long time PM and PMP, but I really appreciate how the Estimates and story Points can be "perverted" and used against the dev teams by Management or nay Sayers. I have been searching for alternatives to this in Agile, and found it Ironic that the creator of the Story Point regrets creating it. 🙂

Gary, Can you break this training up into smaller bits so they can be shared with our agile team leads? They can't take an hour out of their day to watch the whole "live" training and giving it to them in smaller bits could prove to be more effective. Regards

I think if you browse the videos on the TH-cam channel most of the idea here are probably available as a shorter video

I confess I hadn't thought of that: excellent idea. (I wonder if that's something that ChatGPT can help me with... )
