Some days ago I had a feedback session with VCF BU. One thing I responded was that AVNs are something to be able to change after VCF deployment. Not really the name of those segments, but more likely IP ranges or subnet masks.
Thank you very much for explanation, its very detailed. Once AVN NSX Overlay segment is created for X-Region, we need to stretch that network using Global Manager, is that correct? Can you please clarify how to use that segment to available in both regions. Thank you.
@@LAB2PROD Thank you very much for this Sharing this video. Its very detailed and clear explanation. l recently started my VCF journey, learnt a lot from your videos. Thank you very much for all these videos.
Do you know or have an NSX-T course/book from scratch. I have basic understanding of networking, switching and rounting. Right now I'm more focus on compute and storage but I want to extend my knowledge to networking. I did CCNA in the past but it was years ago. Right now I'm taking NSX-T Install Configure and Manage but some things don’t make sence to me haha.
I recall someone having written a deep dive book on routing that takes you through the process :) www.amazon.com/NSX-T-Logical-Routing-Fortify-Understanding/dp/1484274571/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?crid=27MC5EGXCLWIK&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.qNOhCJzJUjjtf0B6ObHCTFGvzTTYBny59RMmd7sqhvXGjHj071QN20LucGBJIEps.hStwDR9Bb2zc0JVe0vl0R3sl_VSTjS2d0CBX1z3soo4&dib_tag=se&keywords=nsx_t+logical+routing&qid=1713395725&sprefix=nsx_t+logical+routin%2Caps%2C302&sr=8-1
It's a eye opener video!!
Very clear explanation
Keep going
Very Good
Glad you found it useful, the AVNs do sometimes throw people off.
Surprise & Happy to See that book
Hope you own a copy 😁

Makes sense I guess, but the change would need to be driven through SDDC Manager. It can be done now, but it's a CLI / DB hack and needs support.

Hi, I have explained that in detail in this video th-cam.com/video/3GYn6-Up3EQ/w-d-xo.html, please let me know if you have any further questions.

Do you know how to delete AVN? I need to change AVN ovelay backend to vlan backend.
Hi, it is possible, but would first like to know why you want to change to VLAN backed. The preferred is overlay and comes with advantages.
