Many of the wedding questions relate to an American style wedding & people have to understand that in other ccountries, such as the UK etc. we have our own traditions. Rehearsal dinners are only done in America, gifts to bridesmaids etc. are not really a thing in most places. Also in those times things were a lot simpler & the focus was on the meaning of the ceremony, not so much the extras which are included nowadays. No wonder weddings were a lot less expensive in those days; most of us were focused on keeping it simiple & saving money for a house or bigger things.

Happy Anniversary Grant and Jen. Getting married outdoors was not legal back in the day. I worked at Weddings when I was young in SA, and the rule is that the outdoor venue has to have a roof and a window...very strange...or people would just have the legal wedding in home affairs and have the ceremony outside.
You were a beautiful bride. It was so different back then when organising a wedding. We had to stick to social norms a lot more I think. We are coming up for 36 years. We definitely had a wedding on a budget too as was the done thing.
So good watcing this and remembering why I want to marry my partner. Even though we have have to postpone because of covid, it just made me think. Keeping stuff simple is the way. Happy 25 years to you and Grant! Weddings have changed a lot right?!
I really feel for you, I know this year has stuffed up your plans and hope you get to have the wedding of your dreams soon - v difficult when your loved ones live abroad :(
I've admired you and Grant as an ideal couple together, and it was enjoyable to see where it all began. Congratulations on this impressive milestone. Btw... the video subject description reads 15th anniversary... maybe that's a typo to intend the 25th? I'm 17 years into mine, so assuming I make it to 25 years I'll want a full accounting of my sacrifices. I want a monument built. I want some sort of metal and a chest to pin it on. We all know that after the honeymoon is over...it's not always all rainbows and unicorns.... but lucky are those to have someone they love growing old with them.
