I can't help but notice how different the terrain looks while going through the mountains, and how quickly it changes. Thanks for sharing all the beautiful views with us, Matt !
Still beautiful scenary on the Mesa . Seems a litle bit of a trailmaze but you got through it all . Made the same mistake regarding the distance between Grand Junction and the Utah border some days ago in one of my comments .So, when you hit the border :congrats on traversing Colorado ! I'm sure , looking at the map , there will be some time-outs between the video's in Utah (looks even more remote ) . Keep on trekking .
Just came back from two nights on the western flank of Pikes Peak, which has a strong elk population. Didn’t hear a single bugle, so I suspect you heard hunters honking.
It must be the coolest feeling in the world to see a pass or mountain on the horizon, squint at it judge your walking/hiking time arrive and get up an over it.... Northwest Passage- pioneer explorer thru hiker.Good stealth camps.the pour over filter does come in handy, and you rright less packaging waste from individal sleeve servings. As long as you don't heap it in there ( like some of us do) you'll be fine...nag nag Thank for sights of the happy healthy forest
This is a big ask and totally not necessary, but if you happen to know the names of any of the prominent mountains could you state them? I'm kind of a map geek

Went for a half mile walk to try out my treking poles this morning and came back to a video!
Keep on walking 🎉

Just hit the border today actually. And the good news is with videos so far behind like this I should be able to keep them reasonably consistent
Thanks. ✌🏻👊🏼

i believe that's a fence/barrier device for cows. Gives them a shock if they wander off .
That's a 21st Century Cow. GPS tracking device. (Someone is always watching...everything).

The necklace on the cow was a translator. She just doesn't like talking to strangers.

We haven’t heard from Jen update..
She wasn’t out last weekend. Something about having a J-O-B or something like that and having to get work done…
Day 159. Ok. I’ll be that guy. Not a whistle. Bugle tube. Not musket season. Muzzleloader. All very different things Bishop.
