- Welcome back to Without A Garage. Over 1 year ago I took the engine out of the Beetle and began teardown. After taking it apart and putting it back together several times, I had it together by Summer of 2023. Today after many failed attempts we got the Engine Running!

That put a BIG smile on my face when she started 😁
I think we were all smiling when she started! Long time in the making
YIPPIE 🎉
Congrats
She's Aliiiiiiiive😂
would like to adapt 1500 type 3 engine for clearance. fanshroud is too tall. putting Austin 1100 body on . aside from having to enlarge wheel openings in fenders rear section is like Notchback.
Yeah ! i feel you bro ! i bought a 72 rusbucket karmenghia for 2 k and feel i spent too much ! bought it for parts for a berrin buggy frame . the trans was shot and i had to replace it. front axle assembly and rear axles were good. shift rod was bent. engine ran. replaced master cyl , front brakes , brake lines , trans nose cone , wheels , and lugs. still i was able to sell body and frame for a little. it has been at least 5 years and im not done. bought exaust , regular , and tune up kit. still have problem charging but drove frame in back yard. fun !
Yeah tends to happen. Everyone is looking to get back the money they previously invested even if the vehicle isn't worth the money. We just have to let it go and enjoy the adventure. Keep me updated on your project!
Good name for a channel. Wish I could steal it 😂 but wait why are working in a garage in the video?! 😂
I don't have a garage myself but I borrow garages when i'm allowed. My friend has been letting me use his shop after hours. Which is why during the day you will normally see me outside
are you using a motorcycle jack for the motor?? thats cool
It's a low profile transmission jack. However, a motorcycle jack would work even better.
The motorcycle jack, works great on vw air-cooled engines. I have been using one for years.
