As a Gator Alum, my emotions have gone through the gauntlet this year with this team. But I have noticed that this team has gelled together, and we have to give the coaches their due as this was the most complete game we have had in a while. Go Gators!
Love Coach Napier's focus on these young men, particularly their character. Beautiful game by the whole team, including the coaching staff. I know it has been a challenging season in some ways, but I am cheering you and the Gator team/program on. Keep up the great work and congratulations.

The guys are definitely playing as a team now. It’s pretty telling that the underclassmen, particularly the freshman, are starting to lead the team. I think there were a lot of attitudes in the locker room that were having a hard time committing to a different way of thinking. I also think Billy might be opening up to a more cutthroat offensive style … reluctantly.
The defense was exciting to watch. Great tackling, great line play, great coverage (except for one one we’d like to forget), great and determined running game (kudos to our line and determined backs), and good called gammon both side of the ball. Have we turned the corner? Looked that way tonight!
Baugh is a great RB, but before we anoint him as the next Emmitt Smith, we should at least acknowledge the massive catches by other players (Badger especially) that put him in the red zone.

I mean, to be fair, since the bye, i really have seen a MUCH improved football team from our guys, ESPECIALLY that defense... but, now that Napier is turning things around ON the field, we have one of the worst recruiting classes weve EVER had so far for 2025.... As a college coach getting paid multiple millions of dollars, youre expected to win ON and OFF the field and we just arent getting it done in both phases.... God i love this team so much, i just wish we could become what we all know we're capable of
The recruiting class is small, which affects its ranking especially with 247. On3 has it ranked at 28 and 247 at 39. Recruiting is struggling because of the record and more importantly, because of the rumors of Billy's firing. There is the protal and Billy has faired decently in the portal. Mertz, Johnson, Dike, Badger, Banks, etc.
Well alot of that comes from the fans because they are calling for Napier job. Fans don't understand stand that, you don't get both. Why come if the fans are calling for his job.
Coach Napier knows the importance of life and balances football with that knowledge. He values personal growth and responsibility. Since he (and his staff) recruited those star freshmen and the others who stood out, Billy deserves to coach HIS players for several more years and see his vision implemented.
