It is really a good decision for Demi Lovato to back to the their root rock, pop-punk and pop/rock and in the same time trying alternative rock and grunge genre. This really bring back their 2008 (Don't Forget) and 2009 (Here We Go Again) pop rock era. Their voice also really suits the current genres.
Demi always wanted to follow an alt-pop/pop-punk route musically but the industry wanted pop music and she wasn’t allowed to do as she wished. Ironically disney was the only place she was able to produce the type of music she originally wanted to. Im so glad she’s found her way back to the genre I just hope the vices don’t follow her back this time.
Oh my god…..the vocals in this song let alone LIVE performance are insane. This is definitely one of Demi’s best performances! It was even better than the studio version, GO OFF DEMI. One of the best vocalists of our generation right here😍
It is a recording that has been edited/mixed/produced. This is not what a live band sounds like at all without production tweaks, even through the soundboard. What we are hearing is not what the audience heard. I am not saying it is not a real performance and not trying to take anything away from it but its just not what we are hearing here hence why it might sound "even better" than the studio version.

This is my favourite song to date of Demi’s. In which her vocals are so good and is a well written song as well and is performed so good on The Jimmy Kimmel Show. Man, what a great performance to experience by Demi Lovato.
Genuinely, I have loved Demi since I was about 10 (24 now) and I’ve watched many of their performances. This was - BY FAR - one of the best ones I’ve seen them do in a LONG time!! The style, as so many people have already said, suits them so well!! I sing as well so maybe I can make a collab happen at some point (haha, wishful thinking but you gotta believe in your dreams, right?). I was practically a Demi stan from '07 to around the TMYLM era. Last few years have been difficult to watch and I basically swore off Demi for a long time with well wishes. As soon as I listened to this song and watched the video, I knew this was the sound. This is '09 Here We Go Again, YES. But when I watched this performance, I started bawling out of nowhere. I mean sobbing and I don't know where it's coming from. I've always cared about Demi, but I had no clue I felt this way. I'm so relieved???? Proud??? I don't know, but this is the right path.
Coming from the metal guitar world, people are pissed and confused as to why Nita quit Alice Cooper to join Demi. She's one of the best female guitarists in the world, so yeah it's kinda weird, but also cool. I look at it like this..its a bigger and wider audience, and if eyes are on Demi, they are on Nita as well. It's also great to see a pop singer play an instrument, with a full band on stage, and rock it like she's doing right now. Im looking forward to seeing what they do together. Its a breath of fresh air for pop music.

People can say whatever they want about Demi but you can't deny that they have amazing talent! Their abilities as a song writer, their singing is on point and their plays their own instruments! They are also so beautiful! Demi is an inspiration to me (I'm also a person in addiction/alcoholism recovery). I too have the word 'Survivor' tattooed on me just like they does but mine is on my lower back and I got it when I was on a trip to Las Vegas and I was going through a really difficult time in my life but it's the tattoo out of the 3 I have that mean the most to me! We're SURVIVORS DEMI! Loved this performance!
I get the feeling that it's a very therapeutic process for her to re-live her pop/rock era but outside of Disney this time :)
I’ve actually been waiting for Demi to make music in this genre tbh I’ve not like any of Demi’s music after her 4th album, but this album I think I’m gonna like, Demi somehow looks more comfortable and free in a fun way here vs the past few years. And Rock definitely suits Demi’s voice, oddly Demi looks more herself performing here, verse hearing Demi talking
