Just a tip - You see youtubers constantly saying good about the brand but later they never use the same products in their "get ready with me" or any other make up tutorial. That says alot. Because you just say good things but in reality you never reach out to those products. I have never seen them using the tint or lipstick or the pots in the non sponsored ones
Wow 😮 This is how reviews should be done … so honest & professional 😅. Nobody talks about their quality & problems because most of the influencers want to be in their good books or have personal relationship with youtuber. Also whenever people bring some issues about their products they are always ready with excuses & never take criticism in good way .
Hey Shreya, thank you for the video. Really appreciate it. There certainly is a lot of take aways from this and trust me everyday we are trying to do better and will continue to improve. However if you need to know anything about our testing procedures or how we work on our formulations and how a product is made, we are more than happy to share as we do agressive testing before rolling out a product and it does take months and sometimes years to get the formulation as per our requirements. The reviews for Cuffs n lashes are all so good.. not a single negative review. Watching all those I also ordered the products but they didn't worked for me. The cover pots, lipsticks, the contour. none worked for me. I thought some issues with my skin type n usage but listening to Sherya I too agree. Even a brand like MAC and Maybelline have gone through negative reviews. A shade in Maybelline superstay is extremely extremely patchy. But a new brand with all positive reviews only it seems bit fishy to me too now. Packaging had degraded when they have become purple only and prices have increased.
The cover pots were crazily hyped but they sent in an old stock where the product was leaving the sides of the container. I so agree with your comment.
I am finally happy to see an honest critique of this brand. I personally feel the hit or miss situation with them is mostly because they rush new launches to give something to the customer every month which does not really bring the same quality. Edit: i bought their cheek stain and glosses from this video. The gloss literally leaked in my pouch after a month and the cheek stains smell like paint, ultimately threw it away.

The one thing i didn't agree with is the shade names. I think it's completely ok to name a shade absolutely anything and it does not need to correspond to the colour necessarily. For example pillow talk is such a famous shade but has no correlation to the colour it actually is.

Same.. when it comes to high end brands lipstick names are random and that they relate to the owner.. I too didn't get what was the issue there.. some of the most popular lipsticks are randomly named as Gemini.. Diva.. flat out fabulous.. Mehr.. etc.. there are only few shades and every lipstick can't be named on the shade.. it will be repetitive and boring.
I feel the brand lacks research when it comes to formula and the ingredients they use so till now only bought their brushes which are quite good. I feel so probably because of back to back launches which is unusual for a small brand, also inconsistency among the products and given the fact that ingredients list is not mentioned.
Can't agree more, they launching products like they wanted to become top brand as soon as possible. They literally not working on products and name factors but focusing on launching products. They have to do one at a time.
This brand has a lot to learn from some of the other Indian affordable brands like MARS. I believe that the products lack finesse and have been put together in a hurry to launch them...and that goes from packaging to the actual product formula. I have been following Nidhi for a while and I know she has worked very hard to get these out, however the products need some revamping and they should excite buyers which I believe they lack at the moment. However thanks for the review and it is definitely something we need to hear.
I agree their packaging seems very cheap and flimsy even for the price that they charge. It is affordable but so are other Indian products at the same range that look and perform way better!

About cuffs and lashes - or rather any business - no matter how we feel about the owner or founder, the business needs to stand the test of time by being consistent with their products and by keeping customers at the highest pedestal. They need to ensure integrity and transparency and take accountability when their products don’t do well. . I’ve tried many products from Cuffs and lashes personally. Like their eyeshadows palettes which have poor pigmentation or their liquid eyeliners which were streaky and dried out in a month. So I can related to your review. I also feel very dicey about their products and have now stopped purchasing from them because as a customer I can only give them “this many” chances. . Infact, considering the fact that Nidhi herself is a TH-camr - I find this odd that she’s comfortable launching so many products - despite knowing that most are mediocre to low performers. Well Done Shreya I have ordered a few products like liner,brushes,lip neutralizer white colour ,makeup brushes but in all honesty Nothing was up to mark Liner colour Gulabo looked lovely but it's applicator is so thin and liner looks patchy a bit, concealer brush was disappointed too i wrote about the same on purple (they did refund money for Concealer brush) still you are absolutely honest and being a fellow creator it's A MEMOTH JOB..KEEP IT UP
I have tried Cuffs n Lashes tint in the shade Made for You (purple blush). I have their clear gloss and Multiverse. And I have their powder blush and powder contour. I do agree that it's a hit and miss brand, but since it is affordable, people are trying it out. I am not the biggest fan of their contour powder. I however love the tint, powder blush and glosses. I have found the swatches on the product link misleading so that's definitely something they need to fix. I had to approach them on Instagram to get proper swatches. Also with Cuffs n Lashes now becoming a Purplle exclusive brand, yes their packaging and delivery quality has suffered. They had to increase their prices to sell it on Purplle hence the different MRPs
I own a few Cuffsnlashes products and it has been a hit and miss for me, like I absolutely adore their cover pots and it is the only concealer I use these days. Their brushes are good as well. I have two colors of their liquid eyeliners, white and yellow, and it was weird to me because the white one applied and worked perfectly for me but the yellow one was a little bit patchy and it wasn't a perfect one swipe color like the white one.
Agreed !! The liners smell a little weird as well but I like the white one but I also have pink and purple one and those are patchy and feel like paint somewhat !

I agree to the outro yes it's a difficult thing to own a brand but uk just to give out affordable products you can't uk have inconsistency u do have to be responsible to what your delivering,I could see why u were shying away from reviewing the brand and I do understand it ,I wasted almost 1000 rupees on their enchanting pallete a year ago and there was inconsistency patchyness in the eyeshadows kickback and not good pigmentation and unfortunately because another youtuber owns it there aren't many honest reviews on the brand and I did end up wasting money on that eyeshadow pallete it's lying in my cupboard doing nothing for me i really regret it and the glitters looked so good in literally every review out there but in real life it'd so so chunky it doesn't apply properly so much fall out and the glitter stay on the skin forever ,tho the brushes are really good..
Well i cannot talk about the enchanting palette .. I have used the glitters separately.. use a flat shader brush to use it perfectly.. this are already glued glitter so it will be patchy if you use it with fingers.. and take small amount at once to avoid fall offs...
I m happy to invest a little more and receive a quality product then going for cheap products and staying unsatisfied.Also the brand isn’t transparent,who knows what goes in n how on earth its so affordable lol ..cant trust
Cuffs n lashes never really called out my name,didnt find the brand to be anything different and so however I did try their eyeshadow because I wanted to support the owner and ended up regretting with the quality,it was inconsistent,patchy and in short badddd,also tried their lip products and didnt like them too..even my frnds doesnt seem to enjoy any of their products so as of now I am the least interested in the brand,would never buy anything..the reviews on youtube are very biased because of the obvious reasons,so cant even say ki if I hear really good reviews about something in the future will buy them because every youtube reviews are fake,I can understand about makeup choices being subjective but comeon few products that I have tried and disliked have no chances of working on someone else n if it does then again inconsistency maybe the batch that I got was bad which again isnt okay
Having purchased their products the major problem is their expiry dates. Expiry dates on the products n on the cartons are different. On the products it's 2020 n cartons mention it as mfgd in 2021/2022 which is an unfair trade practice n duping customers by selling old stock.
Thanks for the genuine review. I won't buy a product just coz a TH-camr owns it. I need transparency, ingredients list-everything. I am not a fan of lip & cheek tints & glosses, so that's a pass. Liquid lipsticks aren't as good too it seems. Someone in the comment section has also mentioned how bad one of the eyeshadow palette was. So I guess, I'll be skipping this brand. I'd rather invest in Maybelline, Kay beauty etc. Purplle's own brands are sketchy too. No ingredients list is ever provided but they pay bike hue youtubers to hype them. #SMH Most of these youtubers are Mamaearth slaves too.
Tbh I got 4 coloured eyeliners from cuffs and lashes and hated every bit of it! From their delay in shipping to providing a different colour altogether because it was already out of stock before I placed order to the actual product! The liner is watery, dries on the eyelids making it super uncomfortable and separates in the very cheap packaging within a week. What a waste of money and time..while waiting for them to arrive 😖

I have used Cuffs and lashes makeup brushes and love them even more than my PAC makeup brushes. I have used and loving the liquid matte lipsticks in Duggs, Royalty and Soho. Lip and cheek tints were a miss for me as they did not last long. Cover pots are good but creased on my face in humid weather.
I don't know why but I find cuffs and lashes a bit shady brand in terms of ingredients and shade names (ps names are very weird and confusing which are not professional or like a flagship)
Nidhi used to be so promising when it was a very small brand so i thought the products they will be launching will be a great hit but it is not, a completely fake youtuber, she claims her products are so good but it is totally flop for me, i have purchased contour blushes then gloss as well as the tint. Packaging of the contour and blush is very poor and doesn't stay for a long as well as the tint doesn't stay for 2hrs on the face in winter, lip gloss was quite good it packaging is very poor, it literally spills, "can't trust her anymore" she is paying youtubers for good reviews that's very untrusted
I have their colorpop eyeliners in 4 shades and honestly expected a lot after seeing their reviews, firstly the packaging sucked and the eyeliner has this weird postercolor cheap smell which put me off in the starting itself. The pigmentation is decent but some shades need so much layering.
Ikr … the smell felt like acrylic paint literally and also feels plasticky to me prsnly… also some colours were still fine like the White and black(basic) but pink yellow purple felt very patchy and I also was very excited while buying them seeing all the hype and “reviews” but honestly the brush quality the packaging everything was a bummer !
I have tried the products too. But, it comes from someone (nidhi) who seems to be having a journey herself in knowing the beauty industry herself idk. If we look at brands like Fenty, rare, whose ‘faces’ are really known to us too, they seem to be knowing what this industry demands. We feel safe and secure trusting them and eventually spend money But C&L right now seems rushed and hurried to grab a section of consumers esp in county like india with a thriving middle class. Which is not wrong in any sense All im saying that everything has a journey and a gestation period and this brand really is not there yet.. wishing them luch anyhow

Ok finally get what's wrong with shreyas makeup after months of observation, honestly without makeup is doesn't seem like shreya has undereye bags but after makeup it does see so it's something about the makeup application, I also noticed that shreyas blush application is s mix of the sunkissed look and the snatched look which is actually too much of blush it looks like the middle part of the face is completely off because of the high blush application I also feel like if the intensity of the blush is reduced and applied in the same way it won't look this wierd and under eyes look way too brighter and the blush is too much so it actually doesn't go together also if the blush is slightly more taken (blended) above into the under eye area it won't look this bad. Btw this is just my opinion and shreya has the right to do everything as per her wish no hate☺

I stopped buying her products since they moved purplle exclusive.. I already hate purplle cause of trust issues & lack of transparency.. adding to the fact that she was raving only about purplle products on her channel for a very long time before moving products to purplle made me think I am not gonna hear honest reviews here anymore. They are just coming out with products without working on improvement. I specifically mentioned on your channel a long time ago on a top indian brushes video, where you were being requested to consider CNL brushes, that her makeup brushes are really bad quality.. They can never match PAC.. to which she always find an excuse stating that they are making everything in India, that's why it is harder to match the quality.. or maybe we are not washing it properly before using.. The bristles are improperly cut and they poke my face while using.. but then it doesn't make sense tto me when she come up with an entirely new brush line in collab with shystyles without making efforts to improve the quality of earlier ones.. It just appears as if they are here in the market to make quick bucks.. I mean who would talk about their previous bad product if they keep the hope alive in people to try a better product in their newer ones? They would be making more money from people simply trying their new launch for the first time than the money they earn from people who repurchase the earlier purchase multiple times.
I did not like their lip lacquers AT ALL! They are runny like a liquid lipstick which is never going to dry. They are extremely pigmented though so using them as a blush also may be a tedious task. They are inexpensive but it’s not worth spending your hard earned money on even an inexpensive product which is just going to occupy space in your makeup vanity. Better buy the maybelline, Lakmé or Nykaa products in a similar price range.

Appreciate your honest review. It should be taken in a positive light and worked upon. After all it reflects upon how good the brand is . Eventually if someone is putting there hard earned money least they expect from a good brand is quality . I am sure nobody would like to compromise on quality just because product is cheap . Well Done Shreya I have ordered a few products like liner,brushes,lip neutralizer white colour ,makeup brushes but in all honesty Nothing was up to mark Liner colour Gulabo looked lovely but it's applicator is so thin and liner looks patchy a bit, concealer brush was disappointed too i wrote about the same on purple (they did refund money for Concealer brush) still you are absolutely honest and being a fellow creator it's A MEMOTH JOB..KEEP IT UP
I have tried Cuffs n Lashes tint in the shade Made for You (purple blush). I have their clear gloss and Multiverse. And I have their powder blush and powder contour. I do agree that it's a hit and miss brand, but since it is affordable, people are trying it out. I am not the biggest fan of their contour powder. I however love the tint, powder blush and glosses. I have found the swatches on the product link misleading so that's definitely something they need to fix. I had to approach them on Instagram to get proper swatches. Also with Cuffs n Lashes now becoming a Purplle exclusive brand, yes their packaging and delivery quality has suffered. They had to increase their prices to sell it on Purplle hence the different MRPs

I own a few Cuffsnlashes products and it has been a hit and miss for me, like I absolutely adore their cover pots and it is the only concealer I use these days. Their brushes are good as well. I have two colors of their liquid eyeliners, white and yellow, and it was weird to me because the white one applied and worked perfectly for me but the yellow one was a little bit patchy and it wasn't a perfect one swipe color like the white one.
Agreed !! The liners smell a little weird as well but I like the white one but I also have pink and purple one and those are patchy and feel like paint somewhat !

I feel the same. They are a hit or miss. I have some of their brushes and the handles on them have come off after a month. Kinda disappointed.

I agree to the outro yes it's a difficult thing to own a brand but uk just to give out affordable products you can't uk have inconsistency u do have to be responsible to what your delivering,I could see why u were shying away from reviewing the brand and I do understand it ,I wasted almost 1000 rupees on their enchanting pallete a year ago and there was inconsistency patchyness in the eyeshadows kickback and not good pigmentation and unfortunately because another youtuber owns it there aren't many honest reviews on the brand and I did end up wasting money on that eyeshadow pallete it's lying in my cupboard doing nothing for me i really regret it and the glitters looked so good in literally every review out there but in real life it'd so so chunky it doesn't apply properly so much fall out and the glitter stay on the skin forever ,tho the brushes are really good..
Well i cannot talk about the enchanting palette .. I have used the glitters separately.. use a flat shader brush to use it perfectly.. this are already glued glitter so it will be patchy if you use it with fingers.. and take small amount at once to avoid fall offs...

Cuffs n lashes never really called out my name,didnt find the brand to be anything different and so however I did try their eyeshadow because I wanted to support the owner and ended up regretting with the quality,it was inconsistent,patchy and in short badddd,also tried their lip products and didnt like them too..even my frnds doesnt seem to enjoy any of their products so as of now I am the least interested in the brand,would never buy anything..the reviews on youtube are very biased because of the obvious reasons,so cant even say ki if I hear really good reviews about something in the future will buy them because every youtube reviews are fake,I can understand about makeup choices being subjective but comeon few products that I have tried and disliked have no chances of working on someone else n if it does then again inconsistency maybe the batch that I got was bad which again isnt okay
Having purchased their products the major problem is their expiry dates. Expiry dates on the products n on the cartons are different. On the products it's 2020 n cartons mention it as mfgd in 2021/2022 which is an unfair trade practice n duping customers by selling old stock.
Thanks for the genuine review. I won't buy a product just coz a TH-camr owns it. I need transparency, ingredients list-everything. I am not a fan of lip & cheek tints & glosses, so that's a pass. Liquid lipsticks aren't as good too it seems. Someone in the comment section has also mentioned how bad one of the eyeshadow palette was. So I guess, I'll be skipping this brand. I'd rather invest in Maybelline, Kay beauty etc. Purplle's own brands are sketchy too. No ingredients list is ever provided but they pay bike hue youtubers to hype them. #SMH Most of these youtubers are Mamaearth slaves too.
Tbh I got 4 coloured eyeliners from cuffs and lashes and hated every bit of it! From their delay in shipping to providing a different colour altogether because it was already out of stock before I placed order to the actual product! The liner is watery, dries on the eyelids making it super uncomfortable and separates in the very cheap packaging within a week. What a waste of money and time..while waiting for them to arrive 😖

I have used Cuffs and lashes makeup brushes and love them even more than my PAC makeup brushes.
I have used and loving the liquid matte lipsticks in Duggs, Royalty and Soho.
Lip and cheek tints were a miss for me as they did not last long. Cover pots are good but creased on my face in humid weather.

I have their eyeshadow blending brushes...and they are pretty good for beginners
Nidhi used to be so promising when it was a very small brand so i thought the products they will be launching will be a great hit but it is not, a completely fake youtuber, she claims her products are so good but it is totally flop for me, i have purchased contour blushes then gloss as well as the tint.
Packaging of the contour and blush is very poor and doesn't stay for a long as well as the tint doesn't stay for 2hrs on the face in winter, lip gloss was quite good it packaging is very poor, it literally spills, "can't trust her anymore" she is paying youtubers for good reviews that's very untrusted
I have their colorpop eyeliners in 4 shades and honestly expected a lot after seeing their reviews, firstly the packaging sucked and the eyeliner has this weird postercolor cheap smell which put me off in the starting itself. The pigmentation is decent but some shades need so much layering.
Ikr … the smell felt like acrylic paint literally and also feels plasticky to me prsnly… also some colours were still fine like the White and black(basic) but pink yellow purple felt very patchy and I also was very excited while buying them seeing all the hype and “reviews” but honestly the brush quality the packaging everything was a bummer !
I don't have their eyeliners but these cheek tints also have that similar smell. Now that I think of it i did break out probably because of it too.
I threw my eyeliners from them.. like I had to.. they had such a bad smell..
I have tried the products too. But, it comes from someone (nidhi) who seems to be having a journey herself in knowing the beauty industry herself idk. If we look at brands like Fenty, rare, whose ‘faces’ are really known to us too, they seem to be knowing what this industry demands. We feel safe and secure trusting them and eventually spend money
But C&L right now seems rushed and hurried to grab a section of consumers esp in county like india with a thriving middle class. Which is not wrong in any sense
All im saying that everything has a journey and a gestation period and this brand really is not there yet.. wishing them luch anyhow

Ok finally get what's wrong with shreyas makeup after months of observation, honestly without makeup is doesn't seem like shreya has undereye bags but after makeup it does see so it's something about the makeup application, I also noticed that shreyas blush application is s mix of the sunkissed look and the snatched look which is actually too much of blush it looks like the middle part of the face is completely off because of the high blush application I also feel like if the intensity of the blush is reduced and applied in the same way it won't look this wierd and under eyes look way too brighter and the blush is too much so it actually doesn't go together also if the blush is slightly more taken (blended) above into the under eye area it won't look this bad.
Btw this is just my opinion and shreya has the right to do everything as per her wish no hate☺

I stopped buying her products since they moved purplle exclusive.. I already hate purplle cause of trust issues & lack of transparency.. adding to the fact that she was raving only about purplle products on her channel for a very long time before moving products to purplle made me think I am not gonna hear honest reviews here anymore. They are just coming out with products without working on improvement. I specifically mentioned on your channel a long time ago on a top indian brushes video, where you were being requested to consider CNL brushes, that her makeup brushes are really bad quality.. They can never match PAC.. to which she always find an excuse stating that they are making everything in India, that's why it is harder to match the quality.. or maybe we are not washing it properly before using.. The bristles are improperly cut and they poke my face while using.. but then it doesn't make sense tto me when she come up with an entirely new brush line in collab with shystyles without making efforts to improve the quality of earlier ones.. It just appears as if they are here in the market to make quick bucks.. I mean who would talk about their previous bad product if they keep the hope alive in people to try a better product in their newer ones? They would be making more money from people simply trying their new launch for the first time than the money they earn from people who repurchase the earlier purchase multiple times.

I did not like their lip lacquers AT ALL! They are runny like a liquid lipstick which is never going to dry. They are extremely pigmented though so using them as a blush also may be a tedious task. They are inexpensive but it’s not worth spending your hard earned money on even an inexpensive product which is just going to occupy space in your makeup vanity. Better buy the maybelline, Lakmé or Nykaa products in a similar price range.
