  • A review of Mil Tec's reproduction us ww2 service shoes aka boots. I love these boots for reenacting and they look great. Reasonably priced at around 150$ the price is quite low for the quality.

    Its kind of funny how nowadays buying a war reproduction boot will last you way longer for the price of a walmart or amazon work boot, and are usually better quality

    I’m happy with mine. After wearing and correctly applying “Dubbing” I ended up with different shades of leather but I’m still happy with the results. Got them from Epic.

      I have my pair of ATF ones from just about 5 years ago and they are amazing with insoles. Best boots.

      Wernher Von Braun, Nazi engineer, inventor of the V2 rockets which were used to bomb Europe since the 3rd Reich, was naturalized by the USA to come and build the rockets which will be used for the conquest of space and the Moon!
      Ironic?

    Are these goodyear welted or is the stitching fake?

      The stitching is real far as I can tell.

      @@myattemptathistory9501 I just bought them. They are goodyear welted indeed. Im not even into reenacting. I just wanted nice, classic American style boots without any fake details and glued soles without spending a fortune and these are perfect. Boots like that usually cost a lot of money in Europe. I can feel the leather smell from 1 meter away.
      Are you aware by any chance whether rubber sole boots were popular in civilian use before WWII in United States or was this design kind of innovative? In Europe at the time most boots had leather soles with hobnails and a horseshoe thing.
      Is it ok to apply dubbing after they are slighly worn or should it be done when they are brand new?

    • @temugenie2698
      @temugenie2698 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dubbing is to be applied once you are sure about the fit and all that fuzz. As far as I know there were some rubber sole shoes but it was a transition period before WW2.

      I've been using them for it for more than a year now and they have held up good provided that I took care of them
