Let's not judge others hastily. To err is human, and we are after all human. I once stayed up until 3 am to study for my final exam in Grad school and overslept. I ended up missing my exam completely. Fortunately for me, my professor was very kind and he agreed to let me take it in the afternoon. This was several years ago. Even now, I have nightmares about missing my exam or even completely forgetting that I am even registered for a class until the day of the final exam. This is a lesson that Raunak will never ever forget in his life. I wish him the very best!

Its definitely not bad luck or unfortunate it was his mistake, its indiscipline, he should have apologized in his statement to the organizers and his opponent for it. Some GMs dont sleep yet they play for the passion, one legend played a month before his death. Im not saying he did it intentionally but it is a respectful game but now its evolved into fame and money.

A classical game in this tournament format is 60 minutes, so even if one shows up 30 minutes late they can still play a decent game, assuming they keep up to the time and ensure the game is progressing at a slightly faster rate (only problem is no increment, but that's more of a specific issue for this tournament).
