- This is a video tutorial for making these pretty lavender flowers for your home or for gifting to someone on any special occasion. The flowers are easy and quick to make if you know the basics of crochet.

The material required is:
Size 2 (Baby weight ) yarn in green and purple colour
2mm crochet hook
Scissors
Bamboo skewer
Hot glue
Floral tape

This was so easy and the captions make it so easy. I could not find #2 yarn in purple. I could only find #4 in 2 shades of purple. How many petals would I make for this yarn. It seems that 44 would be too big. Thanks for a great video.

I think for a #4 24 to 30 petals would be enough.
Try 24 then wrap it on the stem and see if you like the length before fastening off. And increase or decrease accordingly.

Hello, I'm following your tutorial and am pleased with the ease of making these flowers, however, it appears after you chain six, your slip stitch count is 5, not 4. I appreciate your assistance. Thank you.

The pattern says slip st in the 2nd chain from hook then in the next 4 chains that is a total of 5 sl sts.

Here is the pattern
Flower
*Ch6, slst in the 2nd ch from hook,and in each of the next 4 chs.* Repeat from * to * 44 times more.
Fasten off.
Leaf
*ch10, slst in the 2nd ch from hook, SC in next 2 chs, dc in the next 4 chs, SC in the next and slst in the last ch* Repeat from * to * one more time.
Fasten off
Check the vdo for assembly of the flower.
