I just watched a couple of your videos and you are very good at explaining what it is your showing us - for just you working the camera and presenting whatever the ficus is on and manuevering around the job site = id say you did an excellent job , thanks for sharing. Also that job really reminds me of my first two years in this trade. customers with the means to let you loose and the faith to go with your recommendations. I figured out right away that someone who knows little to nothing about construction wont have to much to say about the time it takes if your showing up working steady and making progress - beyond that they have little to go on so barring any obvious issues they generally leave it alone. When it comes to the quality of work ive seen houswives, business men, and little old ladies catch little things that i hadnt caught myself. It impressed me and has always worked in my favor because of my leanings (to much at times) towords quality over quantity. Went down a few different career paths before ignoring all the advice against getting into construction. They happen to be wrong - in my case anyway = i love costruction/remodeling. Well 90% of the time anyway lol. Apparently you dont hate it based on the obvious quality of your work and the video you took the time to make showing what youve accomplished. thank you again.
Hi Don - Thanks so much for your words of encouragement - I'll do my best to keep the videos flowing, and some day I'll get to show you the finished product :-) -- Cheers, Bob

Would be great if you have a before, during and after photo or video.
wouldnt you want 2 cut those ceiling joists back a bit so they dont expand or the rafters dont contract and push the roof sheathing up?
Do these have birds mouth cuts?
Looks like they could. There was a white rafter tail board on the ground with a birds mouth cut out.
I don't see any venting for the roof.
This video talks about how we did the soffit vents. th-cam.com/video/J66VaE_Xtqw/w-d-xo.html
Money is in the details.
Nice framing, you do nice work.
Thanks Johnny!

You left out the most important part. What length did you cut your rafter tails? 12", 14", 16", 18", 24"?
