Sauda gets extra damage with DoT towers. Since the top path burns, she gets bonus damage. I think putting a couple more top paths next to sauda to ensure she gets the bonus damage would have helped.
In terms of Perma spike the crosspath at base is basically the same. The difference is with buffs to damage, pierce, and most importantly Attack speed. If you're using buffs go 0-2-5. If there are little or no buffs then go 2-0-5

Permaspike has been changed so many times that the top path white hot spikes is actually 1% better now when permaspike is by itself, because alchemist exists. When alch buffed, faster firing is better.
Don't forget you can change the Permaspike 'targeting'- Smart puts the stacks all at the furthest back spot, letting it be the ABSOLUTE LAST line of defense, hopefully letting other towers pop things before they get to that point.

Before round 80, less than 10% of a ceramic's RBE actually comes from the ceramic layer, but afterwards about 90% comes from the ceramic layer, so it goes from roughly 10% extra ceram damage (maybe a little higher due to layer skip) to nearly double DPS)
Oh, btw, I'm binge watching your vids, SJB, and I remember on a few occasions, you spammed the Escape key to pause the game just before a loss and accidentally closed the menu, unpausing the game. You can use the Tilde key (~) to open the menu and accidental multi-taps doesn't close the menu.
This one was really cool, nice job clutching round 98 out! I found myself wondering if top path spike factories towards the front of the map would be better off with smart spike for an early burst of damage, rather than going middle crosspath. I'm not sure how to measure to see if I'm right or not, though
If you do want to do testing, what would be fun is to test the smart spike speed boost during a carpet, coupled with the longer life span of the carpet. That might be great, except not for ddts lol.
Deadly spikes towards front and mid are underrated. They do quite a good chunk of damage, restack when the Bloons are going towards the end of the track, and restack rapidly at the start of each round with carry over. And they aren't very expensive. I've found a 025 further forward and 204 right at the back very effective

I feel like the perma spike when equipped with the white hot machinery really can wreck just about everything. I've never played BTD6 but I've played 5 and spiked mines are also absolutely insane a destroying everything. In fact, I was able to get up to round 77 with just spiked mines and a few other random towers.

I would have skipped the mid path 5th tier. It's not helping as much as you might think. 4-2-0 at the back & 4-0-2 at the middle would have been better for the cost.

It was a great decision on NK’s part to make it a tower. Loved the spike factory when it was just a Birds Eye view in btd4 and still love it now

Unironically, 3-2-0 spactory spam in the back is surprisingly effective. It shreds DDTS and cerams

Going for a 0-2-5 Spike factory is pretty pointless. If DDT’s can penetrate your defenses then it wouldn’t serve to benefit you in the long run.
