I can relate to your journey so much, YAY for early 20's indipendence and congrats on your placement! I have been placed at a camp in Maine and I am so super excited! I am looking at travel options before/after camp at the moment and I am leaning towards the solo-travel option but on an organised tour with a company like Topdeck/Contiki or Trekamerica. Even though I know I will meet amazing people at camp I want to try and see all that I can, and move around the country as easily as possible! Good luck with the whole summer experience, keep us updated! :)

I started an application and didn't finish it because I got too scared. Someone from Camp America also tried to phone me and that freaked me out too. Maybe I'll apply for next year!
I have applied for camp America 2018 and I am really nervous as well as being scared as I have never been America and I am trained as lifeguard so we will have to see how get on be ace video

Florence Kennish there’s thousands of camps in America. I would just recommend that you find your favorite state and then look up camps within the state and see which one you like best!
Hi! I was wondering how old you were when you did it? I'm still too young to be able to do it but I'm really interested in doing it and I'm watching a lot of videos. I was wondering if you went to university and if so, did you do it during one of your summers at uni, before uni or after uni? :)

Heyy! :) Thanks for the video, I've applied to go to camp, had my interview and passed and now just waiting for my DBS to come back. The application doesn't start circulating until it comes back clear does it? I hope I still have a chance and that a camp will think I am a good enough as I don't have a strong set of skills (I have some) and I haven't had that much experience working with kids.

My camp is Incarnation camp! I'll be back again this year, there should be a fair at Manchester soon! x
