2022's new Turboant V7 Max Scooter has some nice and fresh upgrades, compared to the X7 and X7 Pro series. Keeping the same removable battery concept, Turboant are shipping now the X7 Max with larger wheels, more powerful motor and some minor enhancements of the folding mechanism.
Is it worth buying one and does it feel like a reasonable upgrade to last-year's generations? These are some of the topics we cover in this thorough review.

I’m not a fan of scooters but I just kinda want one and this looks and sounds perfect beginner scooter. My opinion scooters are pretty safe to ride if compared to my all my other electric vehicles. Be nice to have a scooter so my friends and I can go bar hopping and not worry too much about rider error use. Now I just need an electric unicycle and and electric surfboard. Thanks for the review.

TurboAnt doesn't manufacture these, they are HX scooters that are sold under various brands. Potentially can rely on spares being available when it's not just one small vendor and I really like the removable hotswap battery concept.

I have not been on a scooter in probably more than 50 years. Just got back in from a ride about and this at low setting.
The scooter maintained a steady 6mph while on flat or slight incline.
My only caution would be the brakes. I imagined I was being gentle but there was a bit of grab there, caught me by surprise. I worked out by the end of a short ride, so watch out in that regard and have fun 😎
Just back from another practice run and another caution. On a downhill the scooter will freewheel and accelerate, caution is advised when you roll onto the flat again and the electric motor takes over.
It's a sudden slow down if you're not prepared, especially if you're on low or medium speed.

I had my 2nd wipeout. I hit a major pothole. Landed on my chin and i think i sprained my non dominant wrist. The only thing i can advise is watch out for bad roads. I got black and blues all over my legs. And now a battle scar on my chin. With my wrist feeling like this theres no way I can take this down 2 flights of stairs. Ill drop the thing. In pain this morning. But thats cuz the roads suck in Boston and metro Boston. I gott be more careful. Im so used to looking ahead as if im driving my car than looking down at the ground 6 ft or less. Oncemy wrist feels better you better believe im taking a long ride. 15.5 miles away and 15.5 miles back. I should be ace bandaging my wrist but I cant get to a oharmacy today. Other than that,no more arguing with my sister about who gets the car for our respective jobs. She needs it more than I. We both moved back to our parents house after they died. I got downstairs and she has upstairs garage room. Which I wanted. But now with a scooter 🛴 i think i made the right choice. Watch for bad roads. These scooters dont have great suspension so if you hit a bump, or pothole youll probably wipe out if you're not looking at 10 ft ahead. At night use your light. That light is a life saver. I also have a blinking light to put on the back of my backpack. I wish i could post the black and blues/cuts this scooter has given me. But I wouldn't trade it for another. I live in Metro Boston today. The traffic is killer especially when the heat and humidity haven't subsided all summer. I expect heat. But this humidity and the sweat rolling into my eyes I can do without. Other than taking it out when the weather is comfortable, watch the road. America roads in urban areas are trash In Taxachusetts

Good Rule of Thumb - take the manufacturers stated range, multiply by 0.65 and add 1.25(klm) - this tends to be reasonably accurate if speed maintained at 15-18 kph, in my experience. Enjoy!

I use the Lavalier microphone from Lark 150 by Hollyland, which is similar to Rode's basic lavs, I guess. All recorded in .wav with Zoom H1. Then - some software tweaking - I believe this is the biggest enhancer. I use 3-4 effects in Premiere pro.

Another good, practical review - thank you. This the AOVO X8 (without the battery lock) - great scooter. Sometimes the battery 'jams' in the stem so a few (light - very light) taps with a covered hammer at the base will shift it. Useful tip: some petroleum jelly around (the edge of) the part which nests in the stem usually works. Also, removing the rear (non-motor) wheel is super easy - barely an inconvenience - a few squirts of cheapo hairspray on the screw threads prior to replacing them helps minimise loosening due to vibration. Happy scootering.

Did they change the design of the front fork?
I have an X7 pro and found that the front fork gets bent VERY easily. I've gone through two. The X7 pro has a standard flat u-shaped fork unlike other scooters that use a bicycle style tubed fork (which is more durable).
I tried to have it replaced under warranty but Turboant declared it "accident" damage and not covered under warranty. No would the honor the 30 return policy because of the physical damage from the "accident".
The "accident" was a low speed loss of control while cornering, where I was forced to let go of the scooter or go down with it

Question: directed to any X7 Max rider... what is the top end speed you've experienced in "sport" mode.
Online searches express a speed range between 15.8-20 mph,
I've experienced 12 mph on flat roadway, no wind, I'm average weight, 155-160lbs.
Support has suggested the tires might be under inflated. I'm can't confirm until early nxt month. In any case, I did not notice any under inflation bulging of the front tire while I was riding. I'm just curious, until I can confirm, if anyone else has experienced this.

I've figured out the issue or why my top-end would not exceed 12 mph!
Prior to setting the top-end for the scooter, the setup process has the user select mph or kph readout.
Now, regardless of this selection, the top end speed selection is in "kph," so when I selected 20, I wasn't getting 20mph because I had selected the mph display...
I was not getting 20mph but 20kph or... wait for it lol, 12 mph.
