nyone here who is interested in a Carla and Hanna happy ending .... well at some point in a fanfiction I have started writing, Let me know. I will post it on the fanfiction website when I get several people interested in seeing the ending of Canna differently than depicted on this VL original storyline. Yes I forsee it taking a different route than the canon but I will try to incorporate some of what we know about these two characters as much as I can on the ones that I write. So anyone interested in English version of VL of CANNA hit me up and I will see when I can start posting the story on Archives of our own website

Why someone would not want a doctor check her health after a fall, she's injured. And it's the start of Hanna getting sick.I love then together w/Carla they're so inlove...and i cried so much at the end of their story.

Me either, I cried, the authors shouldn't have killed Hanna. She and Carla were perfect together, they had an almost real chemistry.

A chapter that starts with the ever volatile Lars Schneider visiting his accuser in her home, assaulting her father violently therein when he appears instead, and proceeds onwards to another ugly confrontation with ex-girlfriend Hanna. And It isn't really up for questioning that he *shoves* her down those stairs - his temper finally making its mark on another as he puts her at the bottom of that staircase. The repercussions...? For Hanna what turns out to be a delayed deathblow. For Schneider....?!!!! Nothing. He may as well have run over next doors Cat for all the trouble and repercussions he is given for the misery and horror he has inflicted to the various people in this series.
    ------------------------
Watching this chapter above the writers again play with parallels - note that when Vanessa appears on those stairs taunting him he fully intends to launch himself at her and assault her, as he did Hanna back in chapter #33. For this is what he really is under that handsome surface, a volatile spiteful man, whom even Carla has recognised as being dangerous and tries to warn Hanna away from going to visit him. So in one of their favourite writing techniques the writers use his visit to Vanessa as the set-up to deliver a forewarning to the viewer as to what will happen soon - as Hanna visits him at his home above his sisters cafe, in good faith, naively believing in his good nature, and _she_ will be seen to receive the delayed assault that Lars Schneider was intending to deliver to Vanessa earlier... on that staircase.
    ------------------------
The parallel and use of fore-shadowing being used here is a neat and subtle one. But the intentions behind the use of it, when you think on the obvious fact that if you take the earlier scene with Vanessa and see Schneider's failed assault thanks to her Father intervening to stop him stepping foot on that staircase and physically contacting her, and then a little later seeing the dark irony that Carla offered to go _with_ Hanna to see Schneider, as _her_ support and protection, then here is where we see there lies a great and dark tragedy. For If Carla HAD gone _with_ Hanna, then like Bernd Beyenbach did earlier with his daughter she would have been enough to have prevented Schneider's second attack on Hanna here and she would not have received the assault that sends her down those stairs, this being the delayed assault which he was prevented from inflicting to Vanessa earlier and left him forced to leave, with broiling pent up frustration. It is a dark thought to think on that fact, if only Carla had decided to go along anyway, then she would have been there to lend Hanna support and enough to have prevented Lars Schneider from doing what he did. A fact which, realistically, would haunt Carla Von Lahnstein for the rest of her life. As she had already eerily predicted that something very bad _would_ come from Hanna going to see him. And she failed to act, regardless of Hanna Novak's belief she would be in no danger. That sort of failure never leaves you.
    ------------------------
On one level this use of parallel situations, the use of stairs, and their forewarning what is to come, shows this is skilful and thoughtful writing. Lars Schneider begins this chapter seen up above threatening a small Woman with legal actions and physical abuse, and ends it having actually assaulted and (seriously) injured a small Woman. A woman who only wanted to offer him her support and help, and is completely innocent and undeserving of ANY such hostility. A fact he is almost certainly realising as she lies at the bottom of those stairs. Yes, he starts the chapter by threatening Vanessa, on those stairs, with legal actions and physical abuse, but by the time he has lashed out at Hanna it is *he* who is faced with the legal consequences of his actions flashing through his mind. And he deserves nothing less than the full weight of the law brought down on him, something he will full well also realise, but which he is too cowardly and self-centred to face.
    ------------------------
*"You Are Not Destroying My Career."* - Lars Schneider
    ------------------------
It's all very cleverly constructed by the writers, excellent work in principle. But the ethics of the assault itself.... the sheer ignorance of the writers as to *what* domestic abuse actually is come the later chapters.... the utter failure to address the subject and call out _what_ Lars Schneider is... to ignore the repulsive _evil_ of the man so completely and determinedly.... Is really showing off that something in the background changed in this soap. The story changed. I don't believe that what is to come next with Lars Schneider, and Carla Von Lahnstein, was the original intention of the writers. Because I do believe these writers are, or were, cleverer and more considerate than _that_ .

Carla could not *force* Hanna to let her come along. Just like Lars, you seem to think people should just be able to force their will on the nicer, gentler women on the show.
Hanna was right--Carla coming with her would have enraged him even more.
And Carla is not a bodyguard. (Did you see how she shut down when *she* was being assaulted and Stella had to save her early in that storyline? She was pretty useless when her wedding to Suzanne was hijacked and everyone taken hostage by that madman.)
Hanna passed *him* on the stairs first. She could have slipped doing that. If he had been wearing heels, *he* might very well have stumbled as she did later. When *he* then tried to pass *her* , she lost her balance, caught her high heel on the step, and tumbled. It is *not* clear that it was intentional on his part. (BTW, it does not look like she hurt her kidneys/back in that tumble. Lousy staging; weak story.)
If Hanna had gone to the hospital to get checked out, the organ injury would have been caught much sooner and perhaps the worst prevented. Hanna herself erred in this case.

      -----------------
I simply do not agree with that as it ignores the context that led to the scene and it waves aside all basic safety and personal conduct.
I explained the background to Lars Schneider's actions up above, so am not going to repeat it all again. What I will add though is point out some basic common sense - You do not do what he did when you are on such a very tight and dangerous flight of stairs. Because there is only one thing that is likely to happen. And it happened....
      Reckless Endangerment (meaning):
*Reckless endangerment is a crime consisting of acts that create a substantial risk of serious physical injury to another person. The accused person isn't required to intend the resulting or potential harm, but must have acted in a way that showed a disregard for the foreseeable consequences of the actions.*
Reckless endangerment is _the very least_ that Lars Schneider could get away with in this situation realistically.
Why did he offer no verbal communication or signal of his desire to pass by her? What was the great rush that he could not show the due and necessary patience in allowing her proper right of way given she was in front and descending on these stairs, and the distance to descend to the floor level was so minimal? Why was he, a Huge man, so thoughtless as to think he could pass this smaller Woman on this tight spiral stairway he uses every single day when the consequences and risks of doing so were so very very obvious, and as tenant to the flat above surely well known to him?
This is not a matter of preaching health & safety law, it's a matter of simple plain common sense - you don't need to be _a lawyer_ (as he is) to see the very blatant risks in the situation here, as the chances of him, or anyone else, successfully passing someone descending on a spiral staircase, in those conditions, are virtually zero. This is an act of pure mindless idiocy at best; and at worst an act of wicked malice.
So if the landlord or police pressed him as to _why_ did he do it? To answer this he would have to admit to the simple truth - *He was angry* . And then explain _why_ he was angry...
      --------------------------------------------
      Involuntary manslaughter (meaning):
*Involuntary manslaughter arises where the accused did not intend to cause death or serious injury but caused the death of another through recklessness or criminal negligence. For these purposes, recklessness is defined as a blatant disregard for the dangers of a particular situation. An example of this would be dropping a brick off a bridge, this brick landing on a person's head, and killing them. Since the intent is not to kill the victim, but simply to drop the brick, the definition required for murder does not exist because the act is not aimed at any one person. But **_if_** in dropping the brick, there is a good chance of injuring someone, then the person who drops it will be reckless. This form of manslaughter is also termed "unlawful act" or "constructive" manslaughter* .
It also in principle applies to people who shove another person, descending in front of them, down a spiral staircase 'accidentally' and without thought... because if the person in question did so in an act of temper, and had been known to have repeatedly harassed and assaulted the person previously too, then the charges resulting would be _this_ serious. He has a history with this woman he leaves in a hospital bed, and a lot of people who have witnessed him deteriorate to the point he is abusing her. And so you are right to expect him to face some obvious consequences for what he has been doing as the reality is he *has* to face hard consequences. It would be absurd if he didn't.
But he doesn't. And It absolutely amazes me they got away with it...

@@AnacgDartes It's a scene that is so quick and unexpected it doesn't quite sink in on the first viewing, but look at it again and it is very clear he did shove her deliberately -
Hanna's last words: "You Sure Do Take The Easy Road!"
An angry Schneider instantly very tellingly replies: "End of Discussion." - and slams her from behind. She was launched down the stairs by him so hard and fast she had no chance at all to save herself... it may have been in the heat of the moment yes, but he still *intended* to do it in that moment.
Act first, think of the consequences later. He should be in a Jail after this...
