I improved at 50 plus years old all because of this guy. That's what he gave me. This is the best interview with DD I've ever seen.

So many of these guys that Si interviews talk about their upbringing in the game which really amounts to nothing less than abuse. They keep telling us that they wouldn't have missed it for the world, but I cannot believe that it really made them better players or that the game really benefits from young players being bullied as he described.
Si Ferry needs to interview the Lisbon Lions and get the stories and details out of the bhoys player to player, been reading about 1970 Celtic v Feyenoord European Cup Final for example - lots of details missing and could be filled out by the men who were there. That's history. Challenge!
As a young player that was a YT and never made it at the top level, absolutely love hearing about the changing room stuff. Brings back the banter and getting absolutely hammered by the pros. It’s a shame these young lads now can’t deal with it. If you can’t deal with someone drawing a Nike tick on your Stan smiths or getting your keks pulled down and gaffer tapped up, then you won’t deal with getting hammered by cockroaches in the crowd giving you dogs abuse for giving the ball away. It’s character building !

Dariusz Dziekanowski was a top player Si, he was just part of a struggling, poor Celtic squad from mid 89-92, he should've scored more than he did that's true but when he was on it , you could tell he had great ability. My 2nd or maybe 3rd Celtic game I went to was when we played Partizan Belgrade in the Cup Winners Cup and he scored 4 goals that night, and we went out on away goals after winning 5-4 , but to say he was shit is a tad unfair chap.
I know it was character building etc but I still don’t know how some of the stuff happened , I mean why shit in a bag for a kid to pick up(a kid that was your team mate Cos he’s done so well) I just think that’s a bit ignorant tbh
Why didn’t we take him at 29 , I’d have given him a season anyway 👍🏻 imagine how his career could of been without the bad injuries he had, could of been even more special. On Joey Barton “he was probably suspended or in jail” 😊🤣😂
