    While I agree that PE keeping in mind the cost of historic cost of acquisition may be better in subsequent years, PE is almost always calculated based on current market price and current earnings. In such case PE does help arrive at valuation indicator. I agree that one must also look at the earnings growth simultaneously while deciding that. As of today irrespective of the company given the economic downturn - it is very unlikely that companies will continue to outperform their trend in the future. As of today especially in a down turn PE ratio becomes a good indicator of valuation. Thanks for bringing more insights to the topic.

    In the first case of growth companies you are assuming that the market price will remain stagnant and earning will be faster in reality the mkt price for growth companies will also increase

    This is a much simpler video for P/E ration.
    I have got a basic question, we saw that coming down the line and in future predictions as well we are considering the Stock Prince as constant, the Earning per share increases with respect to a constant share price which varying P/E but if the Earning Per Share increases doesn't that increase share price per stock as well?

    P/E has E as denominator, so when earning is increased the P/E will decrease and when earning is decreased P/E will increase, if the share price keep increasing after making profit then p/e will not have much change..
    Am I right sir?

      @@pranjalkamra How companies get Fund from Shares? Is everyday they collect fund from trading and investing from Stock market? Is everyday's average stock market price x no.of shares traded = company's that day total collected fund? Please clarify the matter...
