Right on, that 2nd battalion also met the 1st wagons going west just 8 days later on August 27, just below Sorenson"s (now Desolation Motel) and the 1st crossing of the river below Hope Valley, should be the Clyman-McCombs group from Indiana. There must have been some wild stories that night, can only imagine :)
