    I'm not going to go too crazy in this comment section, but I will say one thing. These Airmen have a far greater chance of getting a high-paying civilian job after the military than those from other branches. The Air Force teaches a lot of applicable skills to life, not just to shooting a gun. So you Marines and such out there, good for you. I thank you for your choice to serve in a combat role. Just make sure you know where you can get a good job for once you leave. Believe it or not, you can't be an active Corpsman your whole life.

      @@AJxxxxxxxx Yes the USMC does have its own fighter jets. Very few of which are operational. Also side note - do you even know the last time the military engaged in a air-to-air dogfight? Hint: almost 20 years ago. The USMC has very, and I mean VERY few air-to-ground capable aircraft. Meaning the AF our numbers usmc aircraft by folds and folds. We utilize the A10, Spooky, F35, hell even are fighter jets are trained for CAS at an extent never seen before. Meet a single combat veteran, and ask them about their experience with our combat support. I guarantee they'll be thankful. Now go back to DEP Poole and learn how to spell Corps before you join, maybe your recruiter will reward you with blue crayons.

    Memories: 3701 BMTS Flight 138, 29 July 1976. Those were the days. Back then, were wore combat boots and chuka boots during our physical fitness exercises. Ah, but the beats goes on... Aim High! Go Air Force! Thanks to all who serve, no matter what branch of service that you serve for! We all serve for the same purpose, to protect the American way of life.

    I served in the USAF from '84-'89 and initially I was pretty good and not getting yelled at too much. But then when we were getting ready for an inspection, we were rushed to chow. As I came back from dinner I saw our squadron commander yelling at a couple Airmen and asking for me! Oh crap, what did I do?! Well I forgot to secure my foot locker and when I got up to our barracks all of my stuff from my wall and storage locker, plus my bed was all over the place. Three TI's came right at me and I wanted to be anywhere but there! Some extra duty and cleaning up ensured me to always SECURE YOUR FOOT LOCKER!

  • @joshsutton6648
    @joshsutton6648 7 ปีที่แล้ว +98

    We get it, the Marine Corps and the Army are the more physical branches. The men and women who go into the AF aren’t meat heads like you. They have the brains that are needed to make the weapons and drones you guys rely so heavily on. The AF would be nothing without the Army and the Marines, and the Army and Marines would be nothing without the AF. Now, the Navy, well.... JK, the Navy is just as important.

    I was in the Marines from 03-07. All training sucks lol. Everyone has their elite. Air Force has PJ’s, Navy has Seals, Marine Recon, Army Rangers, Berets, etc… it’s just like jobs in America, we need everyone working together to get it done.

    • @jasonrwhitingjr

      You should check out www.airforce.com/how-to-join/prepare-for-success/meet-requirements but generally, the requirements pertain to age, citizenship, physical state, academic performance isn't a big factor but you should at least have your diploma or GED
