The first story is called THE EMERALD SWORD SAGA The albums Legendary Tales, Symphony of the Enchanted Lands, Dawn of Victory, Rain of Thousand Flames, and Power of the Dragonflame deal with the Emerald Sword Saga. The Dark Secret Saga is the sequel.
1 story in 2 sub-stories, spanning over 10 albums, during 14 years. And the last song of the 10th album (the end of this huge story) is nearly an opera by itself :) After that, they continued with independent albums.
Dawn of Victory is my favorite album from these Italian guys. Musically they can easily compete with Tuomas and Nightwish, but nevertheless band didn't reach such popularity as Finns. Maybe because their albums are complete fantasy stories and every single song is a masterpiece in musical terms, but only in context of a complete story - a whole album. In the early 2000s I really liked to drive my car to Rhapsody and Nightwish songs.
