Just a few tracks from games and a movie that I've found to be excellent to listen to while programming. I could have expanded this mix by several other tracks from Deus Ex, but tried to keep it around the hour mark, which I've found help me pace myself during programming/study sessions. You should check out the complete soundtrack to the others (Especially Deus Ex Human Revolution and it's ambient tracks. Was just recently that I found some of the others which I used when editing this video lol). Note, I tried to have the tracks progress in a way in which projects sessions go for me. Beginning, awe at what lies ahead. Mid, calm, slow and deep concentration. Ending, well, a bit up beat to match the feeling of excitement when I've made progress on something that's given me a difficult time for a while lol; We all know the feeling. Also as a note, as the title says, concentration \ programming. So ultimately, you can sorta consider the programming part as a "subclass" of the concentration superclass (if you will lol). So, any work or studying involving heavy concentration (and probably computers ;), I hope that this may help. And there will probably be more vids ("subclasses") of the concentration class to come themed at other types of stuff that I've used. Oh yea, If you'd like me to have an expanded version of a single song in this list, please let me know in comments. I've used the youtube repeat function quite a bit on single tracks for sessions also so that may help you with your work. Sometimes one track is needed for a while. Whew, long description lol Sorry!

Its been 7 years since I found this mix, I'm right before the deadline of my first game release and I have to integrate a feature set into the main repo and test with enough confident to push this out tomorrow.... If there was ever a time for this playlist, its now. 🙏

Callusny Completely understandable! The Deus Ex and Mass Effect soundtracks definitely have their way of doing that for me. Which is really funny because 2012 was the year in which I was introduced to both games (loved them) then next Spring I put these together after 2 semesters of coding to them. Been a while since I've listened to this list completely myself but coming back I find myself reliving those days. (Sigh), almost 5 years ago. I'm getting old lol.

Wow, running concentration music in the background. Suddenly, my heart misses a bit on the first tone of that playlist. All the emotions came back, from YEARS later, to when I was listening your mixes in loop. That video says 5years old but i'd swear it was 7-8 yeras back. Thank you so much.

As mentioned in the video description, sorry for the re-upload. Several of you guys have mentioned recently that the original video had been blocked. I took a peek today and noticed it had indeed been blocked in all but apparently 2 countries. Unfortunately, the portion causing this could not be trimmed/muted as TH-cam stated that the video had too many views to save the changes. The part I'm most disappointed about is the "community" feel that original video had with all the comments and such. And of course that video was the start of it all.
Anyway, several of you mentioned that Part 1 was your favorite so I decided to modify it and upload it just as it was, just without the title that caused it to be blocked. Hopefully, this one stays. Let me know if not. You may find the download in the video description of the original file on my GoogleDrive.

No problem man! Yeah there is definitely a convenience with just having it on a playlist for use especially during work. I don't remember the last time I carried around a USB stick with music. Which I guess would only be needed if TH-cam was blocked. Fortunately, I think tech companies realize they'd be doing themselves a disservice by doing that lol.

Black Ops 2 had an incredible soundtrack. You can't go wrong with songs from that. Express is great. Flying Squirrels is one of my all time favorite songs.

well, i have to say its not a easy one for study :) especially when some letters looks same, but have completely different phrononce :) Like "B" which is in russian pronounced like "V". That is counfuse some peoples :)

I use this and part 2 to study. It doesn't distract me but has enough variation to keep my brain entertained. I also feel like I am on some mission when listening and reading, which is totally true when trying to understand chemistry and neuroscience lol.
