I would have absolutely loved these as a little boy. I loved to 🏊♂️🏊♂️swim🏊♀️🏊♂️, either in Lake Michigan, Wilson Park Pool, or when we had our above ground pool, these would have been so fun to have. I vaguely remember having a toy, I think one of the cheaper ones came in a Cereal Box as a prize. It was a little Scuba Diver and you put something inside of it and it caused the Scuba diver to dive, rise, dive, rise, etc. There was another one that was sold in stores, but I can't remember exactly the specifics of it, except that I always had it in the pool. These would have been epic toys!
@@redstonecommander5190 That's because it was used in Navy wars (and other wars). Ngl the robofish are a lot more entertaining to watch swim. Recently I got my first ever robofish in my collection (the blue tang from the robo alive series) and even though it’s just one robofish, it’s actually quite fun to watch the little guy swimm around and occasionally headbutt the tank. The boats just sorta feel underwhelming to watch. Like at least Robofish had a lot of uses like the pool, the fishtank, pranks… not a lot to do with the boats. Update: Ok so my perspective is sort of changing on the Roboboats a little bit. Just a while ago I got my hands on the 2012 clownfish and I guess he was a factory dud because he wouldn’t swim in water and moments later when I changed the batteries he just stopped completely. Now I’m thinking of buying a roboboat and converting it into sort of a Robofish wheelchair type contraption so he can still swim.
@@Tornadobot14 the fish do keep going but sometimes they pause and switch speed. Not to mention nearly each RoboFish series pretty much has a different series of swimming patterns/speeds. From what I find the newer ones swim more casually while the 2012 ones feel the constant need to zoom around the tank and it’s quite fun to watch them!
Oh, that’s strange because my fish just kept on going and it would just go in circles. But the boat kept going straight and it paused and reversed. But, mabye it’s just mine.
@@Tornadobot14 Yeah sometimes they go in circles. Sometimes that’s because of the tank. I’ve put my robofishies in a square shaped tank a lot and found they stick to the sides a little, but putting them in one of the official zuru robofish bowls allowed them to swim a little more towards the middle sometimes.
@@Tornadobot14 it could just be yours too though because of my few robofish, I’ve had one that malfunctioned and refused to swim before breaking, and another with the batteries completely rusted. I changed out the little guys batteries and he swims now but he swims more towards the bottom compared to my other fish
Zuru ain't too Slick lmao These are essentially just a re-release of their Micro Boats from 2016 literally the same items just under a rebrand to fit into their "robo alive" series and with different packaging. Which in this case it makes no sense for them to be under that name since they're boats not robotic living 'organisms' nor does the "Robo" part make sense imo but I'm guessing they did that because they have the *Shark Mouth War Paint* design with animal esque names but even with that it still makes no sense for them to be put under that name. They should've just stuck with the Micro Boats name to avoid confusion with people thinking these are 'new' or different from the Micro Boats. The only thing that's new about the boats are the paint jobs

4:29 the gray version of the Robo boat … it looks a little.. militaristic
No joke it literally looks like something you would find from the Navy

I kind of agree but the boats stop and go and it would become a surprise where they would go next after they stop. The fish just keeps on going.
