your hair looks so good!! can you talk about your wavy/curly hair routine? Do you use any hair gels, mousses, oils, etc? Even if it's not 100% low waste, I'm interested in hearing about it more from the haircare side. Because it looks so cute and I'm pretty sure we have the same hair texture!
I love the always pan too! I got it for my husband for Christmas and he loves cooking with it and I love how easy it is to clean it!! I have been wondering about the Swedish dish cloth so I will give that I try the next time I make an EarthHero purchase!!
Yay!! I’m so glad you and your husband love it, too! I was shocked by how easy it is to clean. It’s truly the best pan I’ve ever had! The Swedish dishcloths are such a game changer! You can totally just use a rag or towel, but they’re so different. Yay! They’re definitely worth it.
I am glad I bought blue lands soap refills only and not their bottles bc I realized I didn’t like it. I felt like I had to use two pumps to get a good lather.
I bet that would help! I’ll have to try it! I did that before I had Stasher bags and preferred peeling them before freezing. But, maybe I should give it another go!
I haven’t had that issue with stasher but I have with my silicone mats and muffin cups. I just soak them in vinegar and water for a couple of hrs and the residual odd flavors are gone.
For cleaners, I’m not going to make my own. Just a fact haha. I tried the Blueland cleaners, and honestly didn’t like them. I was so sad! My current favorites are the JAWS cleaners. They’re not zero waste, but the bottles are reusable and the refill cartridges are recyclable. I’m hoping they’ll allow us to send the cartridges back to refill in the future). The bottles are amazing and the sprayer is top quality!
DIY cleaners aren’t my thing either. That’s a bummer you didn’t like Blueland! I’ve heard great things about JAWS! I haven’t tried them yet though. So glad you find something that works for you that is low waste!!
Most regular soap does a good job removing bacteria and viruses from your hands if you wash your hands properly and for the proper amount of time :) there's a few really good videos on TH-cam that show how soap works on your hands if you have questions!
Are there any antibacterial zero waste options? I feel like every more "natural" option states nothing of its antibacterial capabilities. I want more than my things looking or smelling clean---I want it to actually be clean.
One of my subscribers recommended JAWS a while back. They have an antibacterial cleaning spray. I haven’t tried it, but it seems like a great low waste option!
Isopropyl Alcohol at 70% is fantastic at disinfecting, pretty cheap, can be bought in glass (I got a liter sold as sanitizer at the beginning of Covid.) You can also add scents to it bc you’re basically making an extract by soaking citrus, vanilla, or whatever else in alcohol.
Ah darn! It’s a pretty good size, but I totally understand that it might be tough when you’re feeding more people. Hope they come out with more options for ya! Yayyy! I’m glad you’re loving the Vejibags!
Isn’t the always pan just enamel? You can get many cast iron vitreous enamel pans and pots like le creuset though maybe the always pan has a specific non stick finish
If you can find Twist in the grocery store, it's a compostable dish sponge. I have seen it in both a cardboard sleeve and plastic shrink wrapped 👎 maybe your roommate will consider
Only issue is with stasher other than the funky taste which I've had happen to anything silicone based is the cost. around here they are 20-30 dollars for the smallest bag and goes up from there. Also the thickness of the stasher can crush sandwiches. I tend to reuse my plastic lunch meat containers for sandwiches and glass jars for other things. Also when it comes to hand soaps, I just use my dish soap instead. it's one less thing cluttering up my kitchen. Thank you for the video!!
Darn! That’s REALLY expensive. Those plastic containers work perfectly! That’s smart to only have one soap. And soap is soap, right? Haha! Thanks for watching!! 😊
PVA which makes up the liners around the laundry and dishwasher tabs is not something we fully understand yet when it comes to breaking down properly in our water treatment process. Companies that sell it say it's fine obviously. Scientific studies on the degradation of it indicate it might not be as magical as we hope. I went down an internet rabbit hole on it and ultimately decided to choose a product that didn't have it at all which was Blueland. Even those paper looking laundry strips have PVA. Until we've studied this more I'm gonna keep it out of our water supply. Just putting that out there so people can research it because that might influence which products they use!
I have seen some sponges on etsy also Amazon I think that are supposedly eco friendly. They are suppose to be plastic free, but I have not looked into it. I might buy them and see what it is all about. Has anyone tried them before? they are sponges like these www.etsy.com/listing/911621762/eco-friendly-cellulose-sponge-block?ref=user_curated_list-3&frs=1 Amazon had some similar to these, but it was made out of coconut.
What’s your favorite zero waste kitchen swap??
I would love to see you review more Grove Co items! 💚
Awesome! I’ve been planning on it! I already have some of their products to review 👀👍
Can’t wait! Hope you are in better spirits! 🧡
Yay! Thank you!

Thanks so much!! I would love to! I've been wanting to create a video about it for a while now! I'll definitely add it to my content calendar! :)
I love the Grove dish liquid soup. I have their dishwasher pods. I have tryed one but will use them once I go through my other pods.
That’s great to hear! I love dishwasher pods! They’re super easy to use. I’m excited to try out more of Grove Collaborative’s products!

@@StrollingThroughLife great to hear!! I will definitely get my hands on some Swedish dish cloths since my rags are getting real beat up
Just discovered your channel! I’m totally binging your videos (I’m always on the lookout for awesome eco friendly YTers). New subbie here! ❤️❤️
Yay!!! Thank you so much!! Glad you found the channel! Welcome! 😊👋
I am glad I bought blue lands soap refills only and not their bottles bc I realized I didn’t like it. I felt like I had to use two pumps to get a good lather.
It’s definitely more watered down. Glad you didn’t end up buying the bottles!
I love Blueland but I despise their hand soap! I will def be switching to clean cult after I finish my bar soap!!
Darn! It’s not my favorite. Let me know what you think of Cleancult though! I love their soap!
Suggestion for frozen bananas in stashed bags, maybe if you keep them in their peels they’ll taste less like silicone?
I bet that would help! I’ll have to try it! I did that before I had Stasher bags and preferred peeling them before freezing. But, maybe I should give it another go!

Oops I just realized I took the wrappers off the clean cult dishwasher ones hahahaha. Thanks for another great video!
Lol! It definitely looks like a wrapper you should take off! So, it’s easy to think that! 😊 Thanks for watching!!
Can you review soap nuts?

Is there any earth friendly anti bac hand soap ?? CoVID
I haven’t seen any, but I’ll be on the lookout for one!

I love the Swedish dish cloths! Currently trying to swing my mom over to using them. Thanks for this video!
Yay!! I’m glad I’m not the only one! They are my favorite! Hope your mom likes them! Thanks for watching!! 😊

Yeah, try JAWS.
force of nature claims to kill 99.9% of germs!
I wish they had a bigger version of the always pan 😭 I feel like that would not work for a family of 4+
We LOVE our Vejibags!!

@@gabrieller4474 The Always Pan does have a specific non-stick finish. 😊

I haven’t heard of Twist! I’ll definitely keep an eye out for them! Luckily, my roommate likes the Swedish dishcloths now! 😊
I really wanted to get the always pan but I heard it becomes non non-stick after 6 months or so :( You should keep us updated!
Oh no! I'll definitely keep you updated about it!

The hand soaps I use are clean cult and Hand in Hand from target. It comes in an aluminum bottle!
Awesome! Love Cleancult! I haven't tried the Hand in Hand yet. But, I LOVE that they sell them at Target!

This is awesome! I also posted a vid about some zero waste kitchen swaps I’ve made too ❤️
The wrapping is actually plastic its not plant based.
