  • In this adventure, we return to the northern tip of Anglesey. Pitching up once again at Gadly's Touring Park in Cemaes we face into the wet, cold and windy weather of the British winter. During our time on the island, we discover the Copper Kingdom of Amlwch, hike of on the storm battered footpaths, visit operational lighthouses and the maritime history on the island.

      I think it makes the bench seats look cosier. That said my wife has said the same thing.😂

    Great vlog yet again Nick. Well done for getting out there in the inclement weather. Nice to see the ability of the base camp to deal with wet gear and dog in the absence of an awning. Paris mountain is indeed a glimpse of the planet Mars. Quality of your video work and the history and knowledge contained in your commentary set your Vlogs out above your peers. Keep it up. I look forward to getting the notification of a new adventure. Appreciate your efforts in bringing us the end product.

      Thanks Ian🙏. Managing without an awning in wet weather made the trip a notch difficult as the wind and rain was coming in from behind the caravan and therefore into the van every time I opened the door. The realities of winter camping😅. Great trip though and the Copper Kingdom was brilliant.

    Another fantastic video Nick with stunning cinematography, enhanced by your always interesting commentary. The scenery of the copper mines within the World Heritage site was particularly fascinating and amazing. We have so much Industrial Revolution history in Wales, very lucky. As usual, thanks for taking us along with you and your gorgeous dog….love how she always prefers your sleeping bag 🤣. Look forward to your next adventure as usual 👍

      Thank you for the comment and I’m pleased you enjoyed it. The Copper mine was incredible. Truly worth a visit. There is also a museum dedicated to the history of the mines at Amlwch Harbour which I planned to visit but it was closed.

    Absolutely stunning. And being just an hour away, it's one of my favourite places .
    Incidentally, I'm unsighted on your career path but this is superbly presented 10/10 👍

      Thank you for the comment and feedback. The Basecamp is indeed a versatile caravan. They do come with their compromises but as does everything associated to camping! Good luck with yours… you’ll love it.

      It’s called outdoor active it’s absolutely brilliant. I plan all my walks on the app and also follow the routes using the app as a navigation tool. You can also set up a buddy to receive your location every minute.

    Great vids ….. just subbed….. question what 3 series do you tow with a diesel or petrol?

    • @FlyCampCaravanNorthWales
      @FlyCampCaravanNorthWales  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      At the moment I’m towing with a 2L diesel. However I’m changing the car for a smaller 1.4 Petrol Hybrid. The Basecamp is a lightweight caravan so can be towed by almost any car (within reason).
