- A snowboard/ski resort located in the Meiho district of Gujo City, Gifu Prefecture. Its greatest feature is that even beginners can ski as far as 5,000 meters from the top of the mountain. The difference in elevation is 700 meters, making it one of the largest in the area. Artificial snowfall machines have also been installed to ensure stable and enjoyable runs.
Access is 28 km or 30 minutes from the Gujo-Hachiman Interchange on the Tokai-Hokuriku Expressway. Its proximity is also an attraction, as it takes only about 1.5 hours from Nagoya. Visiting by train is not possible.
There are a total of nine ski resorts in the Okumino area. Six ski resorts, including Dynaland, Takawashi Snow Park, and Washigatake, are located in Takawashi Town and have the collective name "TAKASU MOUNTAINS" (details at bottom of separate page). These six ski resorts are accessible from the Takawashi IC and the Hirugano Kogen SA Smart IC. Wing Hills Shirotori and Snow Wave Park are located in Shirotori-cho, on the border with Fukui Prefecture, and offer abundant snowfall. It is accessible from the Shirotori IC. Meiho is the most southern of the ski resorts in the Okumino (Gujo) area and is accessible from the Gujo Hachiman IC, making it convenient from Nagoya and Kansai (since there is heavy traffic between the Gujo Hachiman IC and Hirugano-Kogen SA on weekends on the way home from skiing, you are less likely to encounter traffic congestion if you are coming from Gujo Hachiman).
