Thanks for the recap. Just out of curiosity -- guesstimate on base weight. Good luck on your next great adventure

I never weighed it all but I would guess around 15 pounds at the heaviest with all the extra gear I had to take through Colorado which I forgot to mention, like the ice axe and micro spikes.

Hello goob! CONGRATS! I'm actually saving moolah now to do thru hike on PCT. You really show what the trail is on all 3. Most people film super small sections and no details. You were very super informative. I do have a couple questions. #1 What kind of budget should I save for PCT, I plan to pretty much mirror what you have done. #2 What's next for you? Overseas? State trails, America Discovery Trail?
    Thanks Jason

The PCT is definitely the most expensive of the 3 trails and my hiking style is also a lot more expensive than your average hiker. That being said, I never kept track of how much money I actually spent but I'd guess it was probably around $10,000 just to do the PCT.

Congrats on your triple crown. You are really modest and I am amazed how long your stuff held. You must be extremely careful with everything.
A camera you can wear outside your pack regardless if there is a rain storm going on or it snows the entire day is the Leica Q3. The price tag is hefty however it does easily hold for ten years with more than 7000 miles per year. Video isn't that great. Some cottage made packs do hold longer than 5000 miles.

Did you have to carry an ice axe or micro spikes in the San Juan Mountains?

Yep, I did. I knew I’d forget to mention something. The ice axe and micro spikes worked out great through Colorado.

Nemo has a lifetime warranty I would just have them replace it or repair. It doesn’t make sense to buy a new one every time.

      Cool, I didn’t know that.
