I was 7 years old when I heard this song at my annual Función. I live in Peñasco Blañco NM, this kind of music made me realize how blessed I am truly. Always want more for yourself in life but don’t forget where your peace came from. Thank you Blue Ventures. Desde el fondo de mi corazón. ❤
Song reminds me so much of my grandma and grandpa, who also are from Peñasco. Blessed to still have them in my life! I cherish the time I have with them. 🙏🏽

I only got to meet one grandmother on my mothers side and she was to far gone to know who I was. STILL, thsi song makes me wish that I would have gotten to meet them all. May they all rest in peace. Such a beautiful song!!
What a great song, and this group is fantastic. I never got to know my Grandfathers and I only got to know one grandmother. Ladies and gents, take every moment to know your grandparents. This song has so many great dance moves that it hurts so good. I'm old, not dead.
Mostly Spain, Spain occupied Mexico and taught them Spanish and Catholicism. If you are born and raised in the northern part of New Mexico, and your entire family line can be tracked to the same area, we are Spanish and possibly native. My family can be traced back to the same area for 6 generations, and 7th was a conquistador.
We also do not adopt Mexican holidays since we do not identify as Mexican or part of Mexican culture. Our culture is our own American version of Spanish. Including the language. Our names also originate from Spain, at least, the majority of Northern New Mexican names. I.e. Montoya, Martinez, Ulibarri, Pacheco, Baca...etc.
seeks Montoya Q-Vole Y Puro Nuevo Mexico! My Abuela Nora Montoya-Lepore was from Abeyta, Colorado and her Dad My Tata Donaciano Montoya was from Englevilla, Colorado and his Dad Domingo Montoya was from Taos, Nuevo Mexico and My 8th Great Grandpa's Name was Bartolome de Montoya, he was from Cantillana, Espana-Spain! He came with the Juan de Onate Expedition to The Kingdom of Nuevo Mexico in 1598! So Our Montoya's are one of the 1st Spanish families from Spain to Settle in The Kingdom Of Nuevo Mexico!!!

"Very smooth and very good" he's grandpa said.
Where do I get a vinyl of their music.?
This may sound like a dumb question but do most New Mexicans identify themselves ancestral wise to Mexico or Spain?
