As much as I feel redundant saying it, the K669D takes it! But! The AM8 as always sounds so nice and cozy. Excellent video man! I always enjoy your mic battles and love your editing!
I love fifine, in usb I Actually like Tank 3 the best from the ones tested, however I would love to see those 3 against the profile3. In xlr, I mean come on. If it's not K669D, then what are we doing.
Mike, listening to all of this on my iPhone 15 in the car with my daughter and for XLR the Fifine K669D with the pop filter is on par with the Shure Sm7b. How can you argue $40 plus pop filter versus $450. In usb mode all the Fifine’s are slightly brighter than the Earthworks, but nothing that a little EQ could not dial in. $300 vs on average $50… no contest. The Fifine’s all get my vote. But if I had to pick one in usb mode… Tank 3 for the win. That’s my 1.5 cents after taxes opinion. Great video comparison Mike. 👍👍👍
Good job on the review as always Mike. In my opinion, the best bang for your buck (XLR) is the fifine K669D (sound-wise, cost-wise, etc.). As far as USB goes, I'd chose the Earthworks as the best sounding mic of them all in this test.
If only that Icon USB let you hear your own voice in the direct monitoring…..It would be absolute perfection! Ooooooo so close. The tone when 4” inches away…🤯😍 wow
@@levelupwithmikenewman This is what they all need to figure out. Latency free monitoring on USB mics. That and please give us marks or numbers for our GAIN on mics and budget interfaces!

For $300.00 it should at least have direct monitoring. Even the cheapest USB mics on the market have direct monitoring. Very disappointing in that aspect.
