During the Korean War, Marine General Lewis “Chesty” Puller was approached by a chaplain who complained that most of his own flock were attending another chaplain’s Catholic Mass on Sunday. He requested that Puller issue an order instructing these men to attend their denominational services. Puller’s reply to the request was to suggest to this chaplain that if he followed the lead of the Catholic chaplains by accompanying the men into battle, they might return to his Sunday service.
Staying in the military is based on being promoted. So if one feels called to serve God and country, promotion is required. Otherwise you serve a tour or 2 and then you are out.
This is bs, chaplains don't miss promotion because of religious beliefs-it's mostly because they're not good at being a chaplain and an officer or have other black marks on their record (i.e. harassment, assualt, fraternization). I wouldn't be surprised that they had some type of letter on their record with how they're not suited to pick up past CDR. And news flash, they can happily retire as a CDR. If they're that upset they didn't pick up rank then they don't really care about being a real chaplain and just wanted to get that extra money.
I am one of those plaintiffs. Many fine chaplains got passed over. Several of us joined the Army and we all got promoted. And many mediocre chaplains got promoted in the Navy....

Isn't a Commander an O5, they get more in there retirement than a SGM with more years!
Who cares what your rank is you serve God and Yr men.. Is your worth defined by gold fabric bars on your shoulders? or wealth in Yr heart

In this case separate them from paying taxes. Why should then christians should pay taxes if they have no rights to practice their faith?

government military and law enforcement has to be completely separate from any religion race gender period.
