I have always enjoyed watching Scottish and Irish dances. These two cultures are part of my family background. I am so proud to see them celebrate. I also like seeing male and female dancing together in kilts. It brings out the beauty in Scottish and Irish cultures. If more males participate in dancing, they will develope stronger muscles in the thighs and calves. It makes males more quicker and agile on their feet in a fight like boxing, martial arts or gymnastics. With agility and flexibility you can dodge a hit or kick to the body. Lifting dumbbells/wall push-ups to develope stronger arms too.
Interestingly, the dances such as the Highland Fling, Sword Dance, etc., were, traditionally, danced exclusively by males. Now, competitions are between males and females and not dominated by male dancers any longer. All Highland dancers are a joy to watch! :)
Absolutely fantasic girls (and the brilliant piper) for an immaculate turnout and dance performance. Showing the world how to do it with colour and smiles!
