I know. I love these people. I am an American I will never survive and it’s sad if we ever had a terrible terrible hurricane and have to live off the grid. The moms I give much respect. The kids are helpful. The men are caring they all pitch in. Blessing to the family.

Actually, caves are the warmest on the winter and the coolest in the summer. They keep a constant temperature.
This family has taken a cave and made it into a home. They live simply, care for the family and live their culture. They seem like very gentle people. Few if any luxuries but make do the best they can with what they have. The Western world could learn a few things from this example.

I don’t know why it doesn’t occur to some people that the man of the family is the one who goes out to work as the family has to live on something. There’s a pretty strict division of labor in their culture and looking after the home is seen as a wife’s job

Yes exactly, they appreciate anything that brings comfort to them. They are resourceful and so very strong in their convictions. I was raised in the USA back in the 50's in a shack and it's amazing how we can live without so much stuff! Life more simple is less stress.
Harsh living conditions, life is a struggle, mom and dad here are to be commended.

Not sure how far into the mountain the cave goes, but most cave have a constant temperature of 65° ~ 72°. So it is a wize choice.
As for the division of work, the men work as hard outside as the women work inside... and most times they each help their partners.
That metal pot she put those potatoes into is a pressure cooker... I do a lot of my own pressure canning, I would love ❤️ to have one of those... they are quite expensive in the USA 🇺🇸 🙄. A good one, made to last is about $200 US for an 8 qt size.

Aren’t they afraid of the cave collapsing? My claustrophobia would not allow me to live in there but I guess when that is all you have, you have to get over that fear 🤷🏻♀️
Caves can last thousands of years, and unless some human comes along and starts blowing up the cave it is probably safer than most houses.
