Arai Corsair X Helmet Review
Continuing the Arai tradition of manufacturing high quality helmets we are now able to bring our customers the all new Corsair X. A revision of the extremely popular Corsair V comes the X model and like its predecessor this helmet is the top of the line in both comfort and protection. With new larger air intake vents the Corsair X a cooler and lighter helmet made with the same standards that Arai has become famous for. Each helmet is individual crafted by one of the few Arai helmet technicians and is made with a specific geometric shell shape to provide the most effective impact protection and energy dispersing properties. The new Corsair X features a slimmer outter shell to create a helmet that is able to reduce the chance of catching in the event of a crash. This will make the infamous Arai that much more protective to help riders get up and keep on going. With any questions regarding sizing or construction do not hesitate to call 888.784.4317 or email "Orders@sportbiketrackgear.com" to speak with one of our friendly gear experts.
I like that adjustable spoiler on the back,, those spoilers help holding up your head at top speeds. and I can see where I might want to put the spoiler effect away,, cool.thanks for the show good show,,,
i am torn between shoe and aria corsair x .. which shoe helmet would be the top level shoe for road racing condition,, the comparable to the arai corsair x? im pretty sure i have already decided on ARAI CORSAIR X,, I KNOW ONE FACT USUALLY YOU GET WHAT YO PAY FOR,,,, im afraid i know the answer to my question,, so im asking ,,whats the difference between the corsair x and shoe top level racing helmet, sound fit feel venting durability, we already know the y all passed safty test.. i want to tare the two down side by side,,? is it worth paying double .?
The Shoei X-14 is the top end road racing offering from Shoei. It is a great helmet, just not an Arai. - Van
Hey thanks STG. You guys rock. You are definitely my top go to see what is best. Thanks I like your honest advice.. I figured it was a you get what you pay for here except the shoie x14 helmet is not cheap. It's no arai Corsair x. I have heard arai and s the top helmet now for thirty years. So I pretty much made a dissision before asking I just wanted to hear from you your thoughts. What's the difference? . High speed sound? I imagine is one.. maybe fit feel ? Friction ? Wind torque? Out side of safety certs. . What's the big difference because it's not price. A couple hundred bucks really isn't enough to make price . I watched all your videos and I agree arai has spent it's time money on perfecting a good thing. I don't know why I'm still juggling between the two. I've already made my dissision decades ago . I wish I could actually find a place that I can try both hand in hand. You have the best job..
Thanks for all the great shows van good info
Arai is the only helmet I'll wear on the street/track. Period. BUY ONE FROM STG!!!
Appreciate that! - Van
Does the arai sit close to the mouth?
Rarely you see Brian being less enthusiastic in reviewing a product, but I feel you Brian. The new X's shield change system is not my favorite as well. I prefer the old one. I even made a youtube video on the SAL/SAI shield change based on your teaching :D
+khairullhafiz Another rider from Sacramento, CA. told me that over the weekend but I prefer this newer system myself.
Great presentation Brian.. Looking to replace my current 5 year old Suomy with an Arai.. I'll date myself.. Very first primo helmet I owned?...Spencer Replica Arai Signet from 1985..Still have my Doug Chandler Arai stays on a shelf.. I love the Joey Dunlop replica but it doesn't match my Eddie Lawson Replica ZRXS1Lime green.. I still could because " yer Maun" was an icon and a genius
I like the old shield system also this new one seems to be a bit fiddley.
Hey Brian I am thinking about purchasing one of your arai helmets but I am stuck between the arai quantum and the arai cosiar. Which would be the best for street riding and be worth the money?
The fit is different between these two helmets. The Corsair-X is an intermediate oval (most common shape here in the US) and the Quantum-X is a round oval. Most helmets on the market offer an intermediate oval fit. Odds are the Corsair-X is the one you will end up needing. - Van
Mr Van. I really want to try this lid. Prefer lids that aren't super close to my mouth. How would you rate the arai in that area?
I would say the Arai leaves me an adequate amount of space in the chin bar area. The Shoei X14 has a little more room. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear awesome. Would you say the bell race star also offers little more room in the chin bar?
Is this helmet only suitable for sportbikes or for touring too? I mean sportsbike body stance which is a little forward
This helmet will be great on a sportbike, touring bike or a cruiser IMO. End of the day this helmets provides a ton of protection with a great overall experience for the rider. - Van

You are welcome and thank you for watching! - Van
Van, does the fit of the new Corsair X differs from the Corsair V? How would you describe it? Thanks
+Neptune Bluez Funny you ask I just rode in them both back to back this week and we will have a full video comparing the two and outlining the benefits. I have to admit it is better than the previous generations for sure. What really surprised me was how much quieter it was. - Van
+Sportbike Track Gear I look forward to watch your upcoming video review. Kind regards from Switzerland.
Do you know if there are more graphics coming besides the 3 racer reps already shown??
+Jeff Barnard We will see more in the Spring of 2016 I am sure. - Van

To those who had trouble with the old way to swap a shield on an Aria. I pray you didn't work for NASA. Little Caesars would be good for you.

Why Americans speak like that?? You should see from time to time the BBC.
