Great back nine vlog at La Quinta mountain course Brett. Drone footage was epic and holes 14-17 took the 🍰 cake. Nice round, 74 is a great score even without the birdie putts dropping. I brought my game with a few birds and ended up with 77. Pleasure playing golf with you and Fernando out in the desert and we should plan another ⛳ golf adventure soon!
Great videos ! Coming out to play the Stadium (again) and Mountain Course in early May '22. These vids have really helped with my course management/preparation. Nicely done. Thanks.
i thought i sub'd already... dumb me.. but i hit it now... lol so i love what you said at the beginning. "unless its over 400 just use your 2 iron" i get my self in so much trouble with my driver and the distance... one out of your book.. ill go 3 wood 260-280 and then play the short game in.. plus i think the fairways are usually wider at that distance any way...so ... great tip.... good round bro.....BTW i don't want to hear bout your putting..lol i hit 5.... 5 3putts yesterday... come to NOR CAL and play Yoche Dahe... nice course ...
Course management has been a personal game-changer for me as I play into my 30s. Having a full shot into greens is crucial to scoring well, especially when playing a foreign course! Thanks for the sub!!
The greater Palm Springs area had a ridiculous golf boom from the 1960s-1990s, and more are even being built currently. About 60% (maybe more) of the courses are private, and only accessible if you know someone. There’s an unbelievable amount of good golf out there, with perfect weather November-April!
@@TerminatorGolf We had a boom from about 95 to 2000. 6 new courses were built, sadly only 2 and a 9 holer have been successful. The other struggle with few members and being old farmers fields they don't drain very well so members don't hang around long. We don't have any truly private courses in our county, I can book a tee time on any of the 22 courses in the county.
For public access courses, La Quinta has a pretty good trio. I'd say PGA West Stadium, PGA West Mountain (fka La Quinta Resort Mountain Course) and Silverrock Resort are all worth the trip. As a good backup, I'd check out either the Gary Player Course at Mission Hills North, or the Nick Faldo design at Marriott's ShadowRidge!
How is hole 16 the 17th handicap? Thats crazy. It looks like 17 at tpc sawgrass but rocks instead of water.
It's definitely a test of precision, yet it is the shortest par 3 on the card.....either way, an incredible hole with a gorgeous view of the valley!
Did you say it was like 200 yards?
Nah, that’s #13. #16 is only 150y adjusted down the hill from the tips!
La Quinta is one of my favorite places in the world. The Mountain Course is awesome.
Great blog! Enjoy the hole by hole drone footage
Thank you!
One our favorite courses when we go to La Quinta every October

It was a great time out there! We’ll make it happen again soon enough!
What a course!!! Thanks for the great video. Regards from the UK
Thanks so much for the support! I have many more weekly videos coming soon!!
great video! I will be playing here next week for the first time, and I'm definitely looking forward to it!
That’s awesome! It’s such a great course, don’t forget about the “hidden” tee boxes on #7 & #16!

Fantastic! May is right in-between the seasons….hopefully you get some bearable weather!

right, this one is added to my must play list in the US...which is now a pretty long list!
This is certainly one of the “must plays” in the Palm Springs desert. Such a beauty!
Keep up the great content
I've just looked this place up on google earth. Not sure I've seen so many courses so close together before. It just looks so bizarre from above.

Why are they driving in the bunkers 😅😅😅
🤷🏻♂️ thats where the cart path is!
What’s your top 3 must play in the palm springs area? Appreciate the great videos!
