Awesome way to describe each step of the mics in favor a more sonorico focus. Beauty ...
We love you, too!
On it's way! We're thinking that the beginning of next year should be good. Thanks for asking!
dw drums where can I purchase the dual XLR adapter for my bass drums breather hole? I want to use 2 microphones in my kick drum and plug both XLRs in via the breather hole like in this video
Thanks!
For special order for sure Trond!
His drums look right back at him. :) Thanks for watching!
Right.Right.... Right.. Right.. Right.. Right.. Right.. Right. Right. Right..Right.. Right.. Right... Right.. Right.. Right...
Thats not even an exaggeration
I know for a fact that Joey Castillo plays some acrylic Dw's, and the info on them point at OCDP shells.
Whoop!
Good enough!
I'm aware of the AVC-2, I've got a couple of those, but it's the Double Vent Connector I am interested in, the one that mr. May talks about from 5:40 in the video, and that's the one I asked about two weeks ago as well. Will that be available some time? And the double Monorail, with holders for both the Shure 91A condenser mic, and the Beta 52? Is this just a prototype that won't go in production?
TrondDrummer did they ever respond to you about this? I am looking to get the double connector as well and I don't see it anywhere
Where do i get an acryllic DW kit?
He said sm91 but it is an beta 91...
I dont think you can get them...
Hi! Now I'm being told through my DW dealer that you won't be offering the double Audio Vent Connector for sale at all. Is this true? If so, why is it in this video?
Not exclusively. We have assembled acrylic shells for our artists but that would be the extent of it. We like working with wood only. :)
This is true! Vistalite would be the popular choice. With our artists, they generally supply the shells and we assemble them for them.
To clear things up Trond. We think JR meant the AVC-2 the monorail system comes with. This is in fact something we have offered with May for quite some time now and is available for special order or purchase through your local dealer.
Randy May developed the idea and he is always keen on running things by us. We are sure he explored all angles and possibilities of angles while doing R&D on this product. We do appreciate your intelligent question though. :)
Can the monorail use 2 completely different microphones? Like can I use a AKG D12 VR and a sE Electronica BL8?
The system takes us yet deep May discovery more acoustic and a more natural sound pronounced round a beautiful hype to live up to the most extreme circumstances of the music ... Yet in the modern world ... even more as I congratulate admirer .... two words predominate DW!
this isn't about making anything sound better. The whole point is to make it easier and quicker to get a good bass drum sound. By it being internal and not on a mic stand, the engineer for a show/studio gig can just slide the mic back and forth easily instead of having to reposition a mic stand over and over again, which gets super time consuming and difficult
RIGHT. YEP. UH-HUH. RIGHT. YEP. RIGHT. THANK GOD. RIGHT. RIGHT. UH-HUH. YEP. RIGHT. RIGHT. UM. RIGHT. RIGHT. RIGHT.
JR sounds like me in a conversation with my wife. RIGHT.
Hey Chris! Glad you are appreciating the description!
OCDP doesn't make acrylic shells, almost everybody buys their acrylic shells from the same couple manufacturers.
uhm are you guys working on acrylic drums??? is this a little preview of a new drum series for 2013???
designed by randy may, fabricated by marco gonzalez. lol I worked with randy on that project. I fabricated a lot on that.
When will the duel XLR be available to purchase?
Is the double Audio Vent Connector available for purchase from your web store or dealers yet?
Thanks for your kind words again Chris!
Thanks so much!
amazing innovation-always in the pros's head!
Glad you are liking it!
Thanks DW Dave!
Sweet great to hear!
this is totally answer my question about this product.
it's probably a custom order collector's series
Check with Extra Musical.....
I like the design alot. I have a question though... The monorail moves back and forth to find the sweet spot along that bar but has their been any sort of research to see the benefit of being able to move side to side and diagonal to get to that ultimate place within the base drum?
This looks cool but I think you could struggle a little during searching for the sweet spot if you have a front head with no hole.
FANTASTIC RANDY HAVE A GREAT 2016 NAMM SHOW!!!
You can see its installed in his kit when he plays intro to video. =]
Ummmmm..... I LOVE YOU
Another great idea from the mad scientists at DW.
never mind the mic, i want that kick drum ! lol !
It is a SM91 PZM mic...
lovely :)
sorry to put a downer on this but I'm fairly sure there's already a solution to this problem.
It's called a microphone stand
