Hi, You will have to go to UNHCR and apply for the resettlement and list Canada as your desired country. If your travel documents allow you are always welcome to apply for a Canadian visitor visa and seek asylum at the port of entry. Good luck!

Yes, for some reason Lebanon is not on that list; however, I found this page www.unhcr.org/lb/protection where UNHCR in Lebanon presented their work in your country. Please also bear in mind, and I say it in the video as well, if you are a citizen or resident of the country you want to escape and leave from (in your case Lebanon) then you will have to leave your home country and apply for asylum at the UNHCR in the country you arrived. If you are a refugee/asylum seeker in Lebanon - please go to the UNHCR office or connect with them via email. I found their contacts in Lebanon. Because of COVID-19 and unfortunate explosions that happened recently, it might be better to use email/phone first. I hope this helps, and good luck. As of today, Nov 28, 2021, this is what is written on the Canadian government website: "To come to Canada as a refugee, you must be referred. The United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR), a designated referral organization, or a private sponsorship group can refer you. Hi Muhammad, Whatever happened in Ireland, and you arrived in Canada to seek asylum, you should be truthful about your intentions of why did you leave Ireland in the middle of your process. If you have a strong reason for it you might still be considered. But my recommendation is to please not try to hide anything.

Hi Wendy, Sorry for not responding promptly to your message. Yes, unfortunately, due to Covid-19, most of the borders are closed for regular travel, tourism and non-essential travels. However, you can't claim refuge while still inside of your home country. I'm not sure where you are from. Okay dear brother or father I would ask one question the problem escalated in sudan refugee camps. I came to frome Eritrea by socioeconomic and political reasons in to this places but this refugee camp is it do not have any solution to solve my problem because there is no service to stay in this place and asks money to get asylum process. Generally this place it couldn't have service, if you don't have money. You will have to leave India in a neighboring country, or any other country and apply for asylum. Hello Meshak. Yes, that is a possibility and you have a right to do so. If you have a visitor visa, you can travel to Canada & claim asylum once you land at the port of entry.
Hello Avene, I received information from UNHCR Ethiopia - Addis Ababa (Protection/RSD section) - about your question. Here is information in full: --- Please, note that in line with the current practice in place, all asylum seekers in Addis Ababa should undergo a pre-registration process with the government body in charge of Asylum seekers and Refugees Affairs called ARRA. ARRA afterwards refers such cases to UNHCR to complete the process in our system. However, for the asylum seekers from Eritrea and in accordance with the practice in place, they cannot normally register themselves in Addis Ababa and they will need to register at a camp called Endabaguna (exceptionally a few cases were admitted in Addis Ababa). If the individual is not registered yet, we would advise him/her to approach the office of ARRA to seek more clarification. He/she can submit an inquiry using the UNHCR Ethiopia Digital Request and Complaint System (DRCS: drcs.unhcr-eth.org/). I'm gay and I had to leave my country due to financial issues and because I was being constantly threatened for being gay too, I had leave my house and the country immediately, I could not pick up my university degree. I'm living in another country (PERU) but it also happens a lot (discrimmination) and I don't feel safe. It's also hard to find a job. What kind of proof do I need? I don't think I have any, but I don't know how much longer I could be in this situation. I would escape to canada and try this, but I don'thave money yet, I plan on saving. Hi Tiko, I'm not sure if you are asking about a specific country? If you can give me the name of a country, I might narrow down my answer. Since the residence permit is with limited time and going back home after it expires there is a fear for your life, I believe you can apply for asylum. I know of cases that some students will study in Canada, but when the time is close for them to finish their studies after almost 4 years of living a different life in Canada (for example feeling safe, free of judgment and persecution of having a same-sex partner) they are suddenly in a situation that they have to stay - because if they go back they might face persecution and threats just because they are out. As I said, every country has its own immigration laws and how can you apply for asylum, so it depends on what '3rd country' is about. Hope this helps, Zdravko

Just like how this guy said u are on your own tell him to try it .. they’ll give u some papers and ask for ur id and id photocopy and everything and u have to write down specific reasons why are u seeking for refuge in Canada and u have to write down everything that’s happening in your country .. for example : it’s a threat for me to be in Afghanistan cuz if I went there they’re gonna kill me and let him say everything there at the UN office hopefully he gets applied inshallah

You will have to go to UNHCR and apply for the resettlement and list Canada as your desired country.
If your travel documents allow you are always welcome to apply for a Canadian visitor visa and seek asylum at the port of entry.

Yes, for some reason Lebanon is not on that list; however, I found this page www.unhcr.org/lb/protection where UNHCR in Lebanon presented their work in your country.
Please also bear in mind, and I say it in the video as well, if you are a citizen or resident of the country you want to escape and leave from (in your case Lebanon) then you will have to leave your home country and apply for asylum at the UNHCR in the country you arrived.
If you are a refugee/asylum seeker in Lebanon - please go to the UNHCR office or connect with them via email. I found their contacts in Lebanon. Because of COVID-19 and unfortunate explosions that happened recently, it might be better to use email/phone first. I hope this helps, and good luck. Stay safe!

Your information is wrong.IRCC has described in their website that from outside canada it is not possible to apply for asylum to live in Canada.

"To come to Canada as a refugee, you must be referred. The United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR), a designated referral organization, or a private sponsorship group can refer you. You cannot apply directly to us as a refugee."

Whatever happened in Ireland, and you arrived in Canada to seek asylum, you should be truthful about your intentions of why did you leave Ireland in the middle of your process.
If you have a strong reason for it you might still be considered.
But my recommendation is to please not try to hide anything.

Sorry for not responding promptly to your message.
Yes, unfortunately, due to Covid-19, most of the borders are closed for regular travel, tourism and non-essential travels. However, you can't claim refuge while still inside of your home country. I'm not sure where you are from. If you can share where you are, and maybe in what country are you considering to go, I might be able to provide more info.

Okay dear brother or father I would ask one question the problem escalated in sudan refugee camps. I came to frome Eritrea by socioeconomic and political reasons in to this places but this refugee camp is it do not have any solution to solve my problem because there is no service to stay in this place and asks money to get asylum process. Generally this place it couldn't have service, if you don't have money. So what advised me to get asylum out of this corrupted process because l haven't money or person to help me, just I come to this UNCHR asylum.

Just to clarify, if you are from India (and currently in India), you can not apply for the refugee status at the UNHCR in India. You will have to leave India in a neighboring country, or any other country and apply for asylum.
However, if you already filed the form to the UNHCR please wait for their response and further guidance.

Hello Meshak. Yes, that is a possibility and you have a right to do so. If you have a visitor visa, you can travel to Canada & claim asylum once you land at the port of entry.

Please, note that in line with the current practice in place, all asylum seekers in Addis Ababa should undergo a pre-registration process with the government body in charge of Asylum seekers and Refugees Affairs called ARRA. ARRA afterwards refers such cases to UNHCR to complete the process in our system.
However, for the asylum seekers from Eritrea and in accordance with the practice in place, they cannot normally register themselves in Addis Ababa and they will need to register at a camp called Endabaguna (exceptionally a few cases were admitted in Addis Ababa). If the individual is not registered yet, we would advise him/her to approach the office of ARRA to seek more clarification.
He/she can submit an inquiry using the UNHCR Ethiopia Digital Request and Complaint System (DRCS: drcs.unhcr-eth.org/). We may review and provide some guidance, if feasible.

I'm gay and I had to leave my country due to financial issues and because I was being constantly threatened for being gay too, I had leave my house and the country immediately, I could not pick up my university degree. Since I see that you are already registered as a refugee in Libya for some time, I advise you to connect with the UNHCR Office again and ask if there are any updates on your application. Plus, ask for more information about Canada and if there is anything you have to do.

If person has residence permit for one year (work) in 3rd country, can he/she apply for an asylum?

I'm not sure if you are asking about a specific country? If you can give me the name of a country, I might narrow down my answer. Since the residence permit is with limited time and going back home after it expires there is a fear for your life, I believe you can apply for asylum.
I know of cases that some students will study in Canada, but when the time is close for them to finish their studies after almost 4 years of living a different life in Canada (for example feeling safe, free of judgment and persecution of having a same-sex partner) they are suddenly in a situation that they have to stay - because if they go back they might face persecution and threats just because they are out.
As I said, every country has its own immigration laws and how can you apply for asylum, so it depends on what '3rd country' is about.

Just like how this guy said u are on your own tell him to try it .. they’ll give u some papers and ask for ur id and id photocopy and everything and u have to write down specific reasons why are u seeking for refuge in Canada and u have to write down everything that’s happening in your country .. for example : it’s a threat for me to be in Afghanistan cuz if I went there they’re gonna kill me and let him say everything there at the UN office hopefully he gets applied inshallah
