All the best to you this weekend! We just had a 100+ heat wave here in No CA. I had dahlia's to get into the ground, took a gamble and planted them 1-2 days before the 100's hit, WATERED 2 x day and used shade cloth til the heat was over. They look amazing now. The shade cloth gave me piece of mind and worked great, if you can cover them.

Do you Recommend supplemental afternoon overhead watering, during a heat wave, when the field is in full bloom as well? Can the blooms handle it?
