Yes in a way Killua was more vulnerable than most children his age at the start of the series. He puts up a good up a good front but he was damaged and starved of human connection, so he had all kinds of insecurities at the start of the series. Which is why he treated Gon as a savior and put much more into their friendship than Gon did. It wasn’t until he became more confident and saw himself as an equal to Gon that Killua could fully move on from his past.
What I love about this song is how the final line “I’ll stay with you till the end” is cut of abruptly, sudden and unexpected, just like their departure. Their journey ended sooner than it should have.
Killua is one of those characters I just want to hug and protect and make things right for him. This song captures his character so well--the pain he is in, the anger he feels, his demons. Zach Boucher, Sir FabvL--MAGNIFICENT work.
