The fact that Ethan and Olivia cannot understand what’s going on in the scene is exactly how drama and lies starts. The reason why he brought up Ryan is because she wants to talk so much during the scene and he’s trying to resonate it with oh you and Ryan must talk all the time meaning she’s thinking people talking during moments like this are normal because that’s what she experiences. Oh my God it’s like dude really!!

I'm into drama enough to be a fan of this show but that whole thing was ridiculous they would watch 10 second chunks at a time analyzing every phrase and every action. Does anyone think about what they say that much? no they dont. so why are they analyzing it like every word was articulately chosen? They are talking 2 inches away from each other people say shit that sounds weird.
IMO she has a right to sue for a lack of an intimacy coordinator and unscripted intimacy can be unexpected. But with that being said they are acting as characters in love like wtf is the problem? Hes acting hes not actually doing these things to her bc he wants to do it to HER. if that makes sense. Also I'd have assumed, and I think he assumed, that when ur playing these characters together for a while with sex scenes and kissing and touching that during a slow dance scene with faces 2 inches away that the character would do what he was doing. I might just be lacking empathy here but ur acting stfu and play the character. if ur uncomfy dont be an actor or dont pickup a role in a film like this.
reading that back sounds very aggressive I do think she has a right to sue but I don't think she should have is all im saying

And as for the scene, they were acting. She kept wanting to talk and made it awkward by not taking the director's direction.

Blake totally mischaracterized what happened in that slow dancing scene . I’m not really sure how you guys have the take that you take. Of course filming a romantic scene what someone who’s not your partner is going to be uncomfortable, and she has admitted in the past that all of the romantic scenes, she films are uncomfortable, but that doesn’t mean that Justin is acting inappropriate towards her in anyway. part of the role is that they have to act like they’re in love!!! I feel like this isn’t rocket science and it’s clear that the way she described what happened and the reality is vastly different

Justin then bring up that maybe for Ryan and her talking is their love language and how they connect - but that it's different for him and his wife (girlfriend?).

The scene is in a crowded bar, in front of cameras and crew. There is no coercion. At minimum she consented to filming a scene as intimate as slow dancing.
The reality is they are professional actors. She’s also not in character. Intimate scenes are notoriously uncomfortable. No one likes it but it’s what you sign up for. When someone lies about something that serious it doesnt just affect the person accused, it affects every single person who has ever been sexually assaulted/raped/etc. It is actively horrible for the victims of real crimes, and needs to be called out HARD.

Well you are talking about two different peoples claims and one who followed what was scripted and one who didn’t. This is just B roll, talking, dancing and looking lovingly at the other. So small take saying random things again is normal, when it goes off script is when you start adding in extra touching/kissing that’s not scripted while also telling her she smells good. What’s weird about his body language were his actual actions that weren’t discussed prior to shooting the scene

I have a different interpretation of the comment Baldoni made about Blake and Ryan. If you watch the interaction from the beginning it makes more sense.
Baldoni intended for the scene to be a silent dance with them staring into each other's eyes.
Blake wanted to redirect it to be a scene of them laughing and talking. She kept saying I think we should talk it's more romantic.
So that's when he said I bet you and Ryan talk all the time, but Emily and I can stare into each other's eyes long periods of time. (but Blake interrupted him so he couldn't finish.) that's why it seemed like it came from no where. He was just trying to make a comparison between the two couples and validate both types of romance.
At the end he looks a bit annoyed and says we probably have like 17 minutes of footage. I'm guessing this was supposed to be a quick short scene that was part of a slow motion montage and if it wasn't for Blake taking over it wouldn't have taken so long to film.

Also they missed the part a the start of the scene where he kisses her neck, before the camera goes back to them you hear him saying "I'm going to kiss you, I'll remove the hat" and then she says something about the hat in response. So to me he did check in for her consent there and gave her a heads up of him going to kiss her. We don't see the footage though just hear them talking, so we don't know if he implied he was going to kiss her lips or pointed along her neck while saying it.
I do agree with them that it's harder for her to be in a position to say no when it's a director but I don't think they paid enough attention to that snippet of audio

I'm so confused on how much the entire panel is misreading the body language and dialogue of the footage. Even if we wanted to show grace to Blake and say "okay she didn't outright lie" it's very clear that she misrepresented all of her claims to suggest that he was inappropriate when all his evidence has proven that he wasn't. Even if the lines were blurred on both parties, the things she claimed in the lawsuit were just really overexaggerated if not flat out false. She misread a lot of awkward situations because there was blurred boundaries (meetings in the trailer, comments made about wardrobe, unrehearsed dialogue) but to claim he was sexually harassing her was blasphemy and clearly an attempt to shift the power dynamic in order to obtain the rights to the sequel film. She was not an actress that was easy to work with and stayed in her lane, she overstepped and attempted MULTIPLE times to take over the director role. Very weird how much the facts are being spun to favor the bias of Blake being the victim. I understand giving the benefit of the doubt because we live in a standard "believe all women" society, but facts are facts and quite frankly, the facts are not representing the notion that she was a victim of sexual harassment. It shows that she came into the job with the intention to control many aspects of the film and when she did not get her way, she became spiteful enough to conjure up a narrative that would turn the public against him. Really disappointed that the crew isn't seeing thru this bullshit

Lively was not supposed to talk AT ALL during that scene. Baldoni even had a producer in his ear (mic) telling him to remind her *not to talk* becase she wasn't following direction *or the script.* Baldoni is the director, and Baldoni worked out this scene with intimacy coordinator BEFOREHAND. You're supposed to go through all intimate scenes *beforehand* so that scenes go smoothly and everyone knows what they are supposed to do. You don't just figure these things out on a whim. It's like saying "we have a choreographed dance but we'll figure it out on set..." No... Lively went against his direction, against the scene, and proceeded to tell him consistently that they should talk because she thinks it shows them falling in love more than not talking. She isn't the director! She didn't work the scene out with him and the intimacy coordinator beforehand life she should have. She has no clue what the scene should be or portray. Baldoni was trying to gently shut her up. She did what she wanted. She couldn't stand to be silent because she can't be present. Beyond that, she can't follow direction. Which is ridiculous, as an actor's main job is following direction. She should be able to do that at the drop of a hat (or clapper), and she clearly can't...at least without hijacking the whole damn film.

When he mention she and Ryan talk a lot I think it’s to then say that he and his wife can just look at each other. To justify why he wants them to not talk. But Blake just carried on and doesn’t let him finish his point. When the say cut you can clearly see him go out of character.

Whether or not the scene made Blake uncomfortable when filming is not really the point at this time. She misrepresented what happened in the dancing scene to make him sound creepy. The Baldini/Lively section was almost unbearable to watch with Ethan commentating. He has decided Baldoni is in the wrong and wants to be right, so he’s bending over backwards to make sure that’s the case.
I don’t know if it’s because Dan was missing, but Ethan was skipping over major things and mischaracterizing so much.
    Two examples:
    - the vid of them slow dancing, right before Baldoni does the neck/almost kiss thing, they say at the beginning “okay I’m going to come in like I’m going to kiss you” and she’s like “yeah okay” but Ethab kept saying “that was weird he did that without them talking, she clearly wasn’t okay with it”
    - second, and this is a minor point, but on the list of 17 demands, they say not to hire someone with close personal connections, just actors, and Ethan kept saying that was sort of weird he hired his actor friend- but it’s totally fine the Lively hired her sister?? That seems like a close personal connection to me?
Blake was playing the “yes for me but not for thee” came throughout the production and that’s so obvious, but no one wants to disagree with Ethan so he’s just stomping through making no sense. We need Dan back. Olivia and the rest of the crew did a good job putting this together, but I almost skipped this section because Ethan was infuriating.
Also- I don’t care much about this case or have even really been following it, but it’s just so obvious that Ethan feels he HAS to be right so therefore Baldoni has lost in his mind and he can see nothing else.

SHE DIDN’T READ THE BOOK. She already messed up all the fashion. I wouldn’t want her writing it either! And it sounds like ANYTHING he didn’t agree with she would threaten to leave. This isn’t weird and embarrassing it’s downright intimidation, coercion, bullying, manipulation. So whenever I see stuff like that, it makes me not want to believe the other stuff she’s saying. Just the way she’s speaking to him while he’s trying to direct. The way that we’ve seen her speak to so many people. She’s awful. She’s also a hypocrite in the highest order. She is allowed to do whatever she wants and the second that he doesn’t do something that she wants or says something, that, in my opinion, (I don’t care if I get hate for this), he probably thought he was totally allowed to say because of her previous words and texts. If she’s saying she looks sexy he probably thought that was OK to say. I mean we literally hear that she said “I’ve never even seen porn.” She brought up the porn in the first place, then said that…. HOW IS IT OKAY FOR HER AND NOT FOR HIM to compliment her on that and give a brief sentence about how he’s struggled with it? LIKE WHAT?!?I feel like y’all are breaking down every single hand movement he ever does to make it seem wrong. And Not doing the same with her. Surely. but those videos where he acts corny cannot define how he acts in other situations. Just like Ethan probably wouldn’t find it logical to define his character based on that chestnut clip . Both can be true : he can be self absorbed and trying to appear this self proclaimed feminist can come off unlikeable to some ( Myself included) so as Blake twisting the truth to gain sympathy that she lost due to her own actions . The scene that was shot was supposed to be in slow motion and he clearly stated that to her while she was insisting on talking . Talking during a slow motion scene would be ludicrous. So her completely changing that scene that was scripted as literally “silent scene : dancing romantically “ into a long process that Justin probably didn’t even intend to use in post as it was already scripted in a whole other way, only prolonged that shooting she found so uncomfortable. And also I found watching that scene uncomfortable too, letting a stranger touch you romantically seems so creepy to me , I guess that’s why I’m not an actor but SHE IS and how both actors can portray love and intimacy without touching or kissing and showing affection , that was clearly in the script . He did insist on hiring an intimacy coordinator to choreograph those intimate scenes , and she was the one who was like “yeah im good “ , and suddenly when her career went to shit because of her actions , she’s suddenly critical of his every word and movement he made while filming

A lot of people are siding with Blake because they're going into Justin's lawsuit assuming everything she's saying is 100% true when there's unfortunately not much physical evidence to back it up. To understand the context they need to go into it with a clear mind. It's her burden to prove SH happened not the other way around. That's like you complaining a package wasn't delivered and they ask for proof.

There are too many things legally that need to be broken down within the lawsuits that play apart in why Blake is so wrong and why she looks so bad. Plus Ethan and Hila being so dismissive towards Justin and his feelings about the movie was so hard to watch the last powerpoints. Their mind is made up about him and it’s not going to change, enough with the powerpoints on this.

The most incriminating thing about that scene is seeing how Blake's interpretation of his behavior does not match the proof and her inability to follow directions and shut the f up. They weren't even supposed to improvise, but she insisted on it. You can't negate the fact that she felt uncomfortable you also can't negate that she also made him feel uncomfortable by refusing to follow his directions. Mb she shouldn’t act in romantic movies that require acting romantic and intimate scenes with her partner, if she feels uncomfortable doing so? Imagine every other actress filing a suit against their male partners for literally acting. She didn’t lie in her lawsuit yet twisted the truth tremendously and we got a proof of that on numerous occasions . If there wasn’t anything to validate Justin’s narrative , we would blindly believe her but we do have evidence of her twisting the truth and it’s just harmful to take her side for the sake of not accepting that the guy who is a bit corny and self absorbed (she is also those two things, need i remind you)is telling the truth and backing it up with evidence, whereas her statements ( for the time being) are just her perceptions of the truth. I think that this lawsuit was initially meant to take away attention from the media painting her as a mean girl , and it clearly works as we don’t talk about it anymore but her statements although can be proven true twist the truth in a major way

The second he yells “Cut,” Justin is completely nonchalant toward Blake in behavior and mannerisms. Any IRL “discomfort” Blake felt was due to Justin not immediately accepting the notes she had on the scene (…bc she was hired to act and act ONLY). The “I’m Khaleesi” threat alone - THIS woman (and her husband) wouldn’t confront Justin directly if she felt even slightly sexually harassed?!
If you are not healed from your own trauma due to harassment, I’ve been there, i send you the deepest love, and I ask that you don’t project YOUR valid and genuine emotions onto Blake. I find nothing more ruinous to the cause of actual victims than a bully pretending to be one… all bc her Hollywood clout was ruined.
P.S. It’s obvious now Blake has been using Taylor all these years. I’d be furious at Blake - my so-called BFF - calling me her dragon aka “her minion” behind my back.

I’m pretty disappointed with this take. The moment when you started to change your minds and side more with Blake, it was based on the assumption that Justin kissed her neck when it was not previously discussed. However, we don’t have ANY information this was not discussed previously. It’s illogical and unfair to draw any final conclusions based on assumed evidence.
Also, I’m very confused how people keep interpreting Blake’s request to talk during the scene as her trying to push Justin away because she felt uncomfortable and wanted to have a discussion about the scene or shift to talking because she felt harassed and needed space. Perhaps she felt uncomfortable, but there’s no concrete evidence of that. Within the context of the clip, she’s talking about how she and Ryan talk all the time, which is how they connect as romantic partners. Justin replies that he and his wife often just stare into each other’s eyes, which is how they connect romantically. Within the context of the conversation, it’s more likely that they’re speaking about how two romantic partners connect with each other. Blake initiates the conversation and keeps talking. Justin appears to want to remain quiet and just capture physical moments of closeness. It sounds like they’re speaking about how their characters should be interacting in the moment and differing on how to execute that. Blake comes across as a very direct person who isn’t afraid of confrontation. The weirdest part of this entire story is that she claims she was too scared to speak out and that Justin was able to harass her in front of a bunch of people on set. Why didn’t she claim he harassed her when they were alone together at her penthouse? Wouldn’t that have been a more likely location to put in appropriate moves on someone rather than in front of multiple witnesses, which is the case for the majority of her claims? She’s already been caught lying. How do we believe anything she says at this point unless we have incontrovertible evidence, which she has yet to furnish? If she has that, we’d all love to see it.

If he used to have a porn addiction, then it’s not like he’s actively still watching it. The lawsuit segment was really odd... it didnt feel like a fair assessment of the situation. If the lawsuit does end up ending in justins favor yall would have contributed to the narrative of him being a predator, which wouldnt be bad if any of the evidence was valid. Blakes "evidence" is continuously disproved but yall seem to brush it off or make excuses for it. In the footage she stated she wanted to talk because the script instructed them to stay silent. She was going off script. Justin refers to her and ryan talking because blake said she thought that was romantic. Justin then mentions his wife and the fact that they like to have a silent moment while they dance because he drew inspiration from his own life experiences. Yes justin can be cringe but i feel like hes just giving the adult theater kid vibe. I remember the theater kids in highschool always being so extra but that was their vibe which is fine. it was their gig and who am i to judge. i dont think thats indicative of him being a predator. This was super frustrating to watch. At this point, I just want to see what the other actors/crew have to say about their experiences with Baldoni. As it stands right now, I don't know how much Lively can be trusted. I disagree with you guys about the dancing scene - I don't think Lively felt very uncomfortable in the moment, and she was participating in the nuzzling/talking just as much as Baldoni. And IMO her description in the complaint is basically just a lie, not simply a misinterpretation. So I don't know how much we can trust any of her other claims. But if several other people come out and say that Baldoni sexually harassed them in some way (and aren't just lying like Lively seems to be), then I'll happily be on Lively's side.
It definitely seems like Baldoni is a narcissistic weirdo who plays up his feminism for attention from women, but I also believe that Lively probably took over the set like Baldoni says, and potentially could be lying about basically everything in order to take control of the sequel (if there even is a sequel after this), and in order to sweep her other negative stuff under the rug. Keep in mind that Baldoni's people didn't actually run a smear campaign against Lively (though they were about to do that in response to what her team might do), but it seems like Lively's people *were* doing some sort of campaign against Baldoni, or were at least ready to start one just like his people were. She got all that negative attention leading up to (and upon release of) the movie, so she likely wanted the attention drawn away from her.
The one thing that I think gives some good support for Lively is the initial 17-point list she made, because that makes it seem like she was feeling uncomfortable earlier on (not sure how early though - I haven't followed closely enough), though even that list could potentially either be a bunch of lies or purposeful misinterpretations, but I don't know what her reasoning would've been at that point. Did she somehow figure that that would allow her to start taking over the movie, or something? That wouldn't really make sense (unless she's just incredibly conniving), so I think it's likely that the 17-point list was legit, or at least, these were legit issues she had. Not sure...
