If your having problems with your airbrush clogging dilute your paint. Most airbrush paint is ment to be diluted before use, Like food coloring in the bottle is the most intense version of the paint.
Some airbrush paint is waterproof, some isn't but over time, yes it will eventually wear down. And yes, investing in an airbrush is expensive, anywhere from $100 to $500 for all the parts. (Airbrush, compressor, paints, solvent, ect.)
Airbrushes are expensive! But if you get the correct Airbrush and tools, your suit will be good for a few years. You can always get it repaired if needed to.
This would be excellent for people who make spotted big cat fursuits. A lot of artists have leopard spot brushes to save time on drawing them. This could be similar.
I'll have to remember this for some of my future suits! i have one i am currently making and the bodysuit has markings that i'm too lazy to hand sew on lol. i don't have an airbrush, but this will probably work for dry brushing too. I'll have to test it on scrap fur though. Thanks for the idea Skye!
Science+art come together! Experiments are awesome just as labs where things explode and you make kool aid in different concentrations! I'm basically what happens when one has a creative mind then develops a logical side in addition so that's something
Just curious, since most markings are small, would it be easier to get a shape puncher? I have a set that has hearts, stars, flowers, ECT. That way all of the shapes are uniform and consistent.
That would work well but it would be harder to make custom shapes. I have a Cricut (look up “Cricut maker”) so if I were to use this technique I would use it to cut out the shapes. That way I could have perfectly cut custom shapes. Cricuts are expensive tho, I luckily got mine during a sale that was like 40% off or something.
Hey so you know the suit from the outdated fursuit head toturial? What species is that creature because I have fallen in love with it! Thanks if you reply, and have good day!
And also, what is your fursuit making company name link thing? I’m looking for a maker to make a fursuit head and I think you’re going to have so much fun making her if thats okay with you!
i know this is an old video so you may not reply which is all good, just one little question! where did you get your airbrush? im looking to get one for my own fursuit work but i have no idea where to get one, i am also in australia if that helps
Dear Skye, just a heads up because I'm a safety nerd, but if you plan on doing more extensive airbrushing, use a face mask in the future. Just thought I'd mention it ;u; Can't wait to see more!
Have you soaked your gun in acetone? I know airbrushing is a huge difference from normal brushes, but! I know acetone stops brushes from gumming up XD keep up the good work! The suit looks absolutely fantastic 💜
I’m curious on what brand or type paints to use on fur. I want to make realistic animal ears and I’m a beginner. If anyone knows paint for fur that can be used in an airbrush, please reply! Thank you!
"Hot d*mn I'm a genious" *looks into the camera intensely*
Yay!!! Magic!! If you have more prototype ideas hell yes bring it!
More please, this was funny to see especially to see you experiment and become a child again. I think your sudden intense excitement was hilarious
I luv this!!! You could be a fursuit revolutionizer! :0

I don't suggest doing this, unless it's waterproof, because it will come off when it's washed otherwise
@@AngelGoesWoof i am using waterproof paint if i do dry brush it. i am also using short fur so it'll look better anyways
Skye has evolved from experienced fursuit maker to god
I need more protodenssssss

but can i like paint the fur when its already on the foam (like the head done)
Great work
Yaaa
What kind of airbrush paint did you use?
Do you think you can just paint onto a fursuit? Like with a paintbrush? If so, what kind of paint? If not, why?
How do you wash an airbrushed suit?
what kind of paint are you using in the air brush?
I have one that uses copic markers and not sure if that'd work.

Why don't u just use fabric spray paint way easier. Oh and a stencil if u want a pattern.
Airbrushes have far more control, it is using fabric paint and I made the stencil XD
