I did a test drive of the 2WD and also felt a lack of connection with the car, partly due to dead steering and partly slow throttle response. As another viewer mentioned, you messed up on the fuel consumption figures. The 2WD uses less fuel than the AWD.
Yes, got the fuel figures mixed between awd and 2wd. And I dont like a steering wheel that makes me feel disconnected from the wheels, I like to know what's going on between the road and the wheels at all times.
Hi Bro, your fuel consumption is wrong. correct one is 7.0 liters per 100 kilometers (2wd) and 7.7 liters per 100 kilometers (AWD). If its 7kms per one Liters it should be worst fuel consumption.
Great review and excellent car. Perhaps as you mentioned its still lagging in terms of powertrain. However just a thought, I think this car can rival the Lexus rx350 (Lexus in its present 4 cylinder form , not the previous model) in terms of looks , power , comfort
Thank you for your compliments. As for whether this car can rival the Lexus RX350, I suggest you drive the Lexus. Looks is always subjective, but there's a reason why Lexus is known to produce some of the best cars in the world.
dull steering, narrow rear view, slow pedal response. These are the things holding it back. Best looking SUV, great pricing, great AWD, LARGEST screen. Once you see it, you cant accept the other cars screen.
Proton's two time gear lever movement is necessary and its is another safety option, and don't describe it as non-sense, doesn't look fair and good on our national car maker's effort. You don't need to call someone bad to describe someone is good!

Great value for $$$. Like you, I'd love to see more 'physical' controls but Hello Jaecoo seems to work aok.

Nope as an owner the fuel consumption is around 8.5-10L/100km for the AWD variant
Yes, got that mixed up between the awd and 2wd, thanks for the correction.
Interesting. Thank you.
@@vfwh17its about the same or slightly higher petrol consumption of my HRV.

there is enough power, just that there is hesitation/ delay to deliver it.
Hope they can tune that.
they are boasting 1000 car sold per month !!
I wish they offer more colour options.
