Thanks for watching 👍 feel free to leave your comments and likes to support this video 👍 📹 much appreciated 👍 If you're going through border control (Visitor in Transit visa) You might need a Visitor in Transit visa if you’re: changing flights in the UK on your way to another country; going through UK border control, for example to check in your luggage for a connecting flight; leaving the UK within 48 hours; not working or studying while in the UK more info here: www.gov.uk/transit-visa
As a note, this transfer is for people who are in the public spaces outside the passenger area. If you have a connecting flight you would normally follow the Flight Connections signs on arrival and take the transfer bus, rather than going through the Arrivals channel and leaving the terminal.
@@joshuanesbit Yes. If you arrive at Heathrow for a connecting flight, then when you get off the plane you will follow the signs for "Flight Connections" (purple signs). If your connecting flight leaves from a different terminal you will directed to a transfer bus to take you to that terminal. You will have to go through a security check on the way.
@@ib9rt okay thank you - hypothetically what would happen if you arrive from say ediburgh on a domestic arrival is it still possible to go through to connections or will you end up landside?
@@joshuanesbit I don't know, I have not done that. You should probably ask your airline. At the end of the day, when you arrive at Heathrow you can either follow signs or ask an agent for help. They are not going to leave you guessing.
Navigating through London on my way to Sydney has been quite an adventure. A heartfelt thank you for the invaluable assistance! The entire journey has been quite stressful, and when I learned that I needed to take a train to catch my connecting flight, it added an extra layer of chaos. Your Express Parking suggestion made a world of difference. Hoping my perspective can be of help to others facing a similar situation. Thanks a ton! 😃
Very nice and simple to understand video. I think you are just showing how to transfer from T5 via free train to T2-T3. If you booked 2 separate tickets and 2 different airlines, then you have to go to immigration, baggage claim, customs if anything to declare, follow this transfer, go check in either T2 or T3. If you are not sure, always ask help at the first check in. If you have same tickets then your luggage will be forwarded to final destination(always tell the agent at check in of your final destination). You just follow flight connections either to T2-T3 and not this procedure.
@@tonyo7324 I had two different tickets in June transiting Heathrow. I definitely did not go through immigration but I only had carry on luggage. If I had checked bags, I would have had to enter the UK officially.

thanks! that's exactly what I am going to do next month. So, upon exiting arrival from T5, how long did it take to get to T2 check-in counter? Also, how often does the train run?
I’m arriving in T5 with BA from Canada, but need to meet a group arriving in T2. Once I collect my luggage, I can take this train to T2, but then I can go to arrivals at T2 right. Approx takes 15 mins right
Are we required to get a (free) ticket, or can we just scan our bank ATM cards at each end? Also, noting that was the Elizabeth Line, can we also use the Heathrow Express (just to T2)? And do they run from the same/adjacent platforms?
HI Rambler. Such a useful video. Just need a clarification. Does this change of terminals happens only if you have a residence or transit visa? I'm having only a schengen tourist visa to go to Luxembourg via LHR. Any idea?
