Yep
😂😂true
I thought it was Chowder
Nah chowder is the definition of weirdness

I love that of all the 'kids cartoons' on youtube this is is one of the few series that evades the child safety lockdown of the comments section consistently.
Seriously, is so dumb they just obliterated all discussion of old cartoon clips and even things that aren't for kids.
@@krunkle5136 there was an R-rated suicide squad clip of reverse flash running to chase a plane and explicitly bleeding from his forehead but it was marked for kids
@@frankchen4229 aren't large platforms with algorithms moderating everything brilliant?
What I don’t get is why don’t they just unmark everything for kids because TH-cam kids is a thing, just have them move to that platform and keep everything here untouched
@@frankchen4229 You can chose if something is for kids when you upload it so the user uploading the video probably did that.
"You have a lot of nerve being alive" oh how i miss the 2000-nds.
two thousandnds
just say 2000’s 😭
best times to be alive even tho i hated this show
“someone should put you in a box floatin down the river Grandma!” -Sheldon J Plankton
loved the time when you could say things like that without getting sued lol
I loved Flapjack growing up, and its hostile nature, everything in this cartoon is unwelcoming 🤣
What I loved about this show is that the punchline was always coming from outer space, you never knew where the bit was going but it was hilarious every time
*its
@@saneyoungpoot7795 So sorry, thanks.
Honestly, I feel like these kinds of shows are what misled alot of gen z kids into weird humor.
@@Eeveefall This show and Chowder
The "overall enthusiasm" bit was and still is my favorite.
My family still quotes that to this day
It's a hilarious pun, it reminds me of butters from south park being the evil villain "professor chaos" and his sidekick being "general disarray".
“You win! Hahahaha!”
Flapjack:”You need to grow up!”
“Grow up? I’m 38 years old!”
☠️
makes me want to get overalls and print enthusiasm on them. if someone gets the pun, ah that’s great. if someone gets the reference, *oh baby*
@@Gravitation3Beatles3*Yeeeeeehaaaaaawww!*
this show has so much meme potential
I'm tellin ya lol
@@jimbizze_ he told u
Yall been told
it really does, i dont ever see flapjack memes
How has 4:02 not been used yet?
This show is scarier then what it should be
Modern Cartoon Network not man enough to bring this show back
Return the flask from cowardly dog episode is scarier the the entirety of flapjack
what? not even when i was a child i thought this show was scary, it's perfect
@@tofu8164 everything is so ugly and dreary and disturbing in it
@@AlchemyRefinmentTranscendenceIT’S A SLAB
It's kinda crazy to me that this show used to get ridiculed when it aired for being too wacky/weird and now it got the complete opposite reception, it was ahead of it's time in terms of the internet's humour when it still wasn't big
I loved this show when it was airing, hated that no one else watched it
this show walked so adventure time / regular show could run. & it still doesnt get the respect it deserves
I love it since day 1, tho it was pretty creepi
Considering we were kids then and adults now. It makes sense. Not too hard to figure out
This show was great 😭
4:03 okay this one broke me
The backflip tho 😮
im glad im not alone on that, the slow motion and the expression on his face with the OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO sound in slo-mo somehow just makes me laugh everytime I watch it
@@BudoThePaladinhe got to eat his own words with that backflip.
@@MechWarrior894 fr tho lmao
This one is the best fsho
All my friends refused to watch this when we were younger because it scared tf out of them but if anything it just opened my eyes to why I enjoyed DHMIS as well. This show is impressive af.
The main reason was that you couldn't eat when you were watching this show..
The fuck is dhmis?
@@Menez47 I think he's talking about Don't Hug Me I'm Scared
Haha your friends are weak
@@giga_chargeI thought I was the only one who would lose my appetite while watching this. Ren and stimpy was another one. Especially with the gross ups 🤮. I would just not eat though cuz I wasn’t missing this shit for nobody.
I love how in any other show flapjack would be the character that does the crazy shit without understanding how odd it is. But in this show, he’s the character that reacts the most to the oddities and is usually a smaller voice of reason.
What do you mean Flapjack in any other show? There is this same character in other shows?
@@Cacany99They are saying that in every other cartoon, the premise is that the antics of the main character revolve around the side characters but in this show, every other character’s antics revolve around the main character
@@AverageJoe126man you couldn’t have explained that better
Even with context this show was batshit crazy. I loved it as a kid and feel this really shaped my sense of humor along with Chowder. I should watch this one night when I'm high.
Same. This, The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, Courage The Cowardly Dog and Chowder were responsible for 50% of my humour. Hell, old Cartoon Network in general was responsible for it.
@@spaghetto9836hell yeah!!! I almost watch Cartoon Network exclusively. And would watch Nickelodeon for SpongeBob, Drake & Josh, Ned's declassified, and rarely Disney

Bwa... ha... Hehehehe, Is this the best you..?
✴️🥶👃
what are we doing? 🫠
This show is basically the prototype love child of adventure time and regular show
No it's the father
Yeah, most of the crew for this show (incl. Thorup van Orman) went on to help start up Adventure Time and Regular Show when this folded.
And over the garden wall
The founding father of legends you mean?
This show came before adventure time and regular show...
3:40 when some annoying customer keeps lingering outside, eyes darting around wildly wondering if he should come in 1 minute before closing time.
Did you also scream in utterly incomprehensible unfathomable terror to them ?
@@itsjustalineonly in my head if i want to keep paying my bills
This was ahead of its time. The world wasn't ready for Flapjack
0:21 its been 20 years and i still have no idea what this hilarious sound effect is called
“Agonized scream?” 😂
It's called AAAUUUUUUUUHHAHHHHH UAUAAHAHHAHAHHHHH
HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
it honestly sounds identical to this scream from the sponge bob movie when that guy got punched th-cam.com/video/kEqnlS_CtWc/w-d-xo.html
If you were born between 1991-2005, you had an awesome childhood
'93, put me in!
As a person who was born in 2005, I can confirm!!!
2003
2004!
2001, this was the best show ever along with Chowder
"You got a lot of nerve being alive" is probably the hardest roast in a cartoon network show ive ever heard.
4:02 This kind of humor was way ahead of its time.
Some of these episodes genuinely scared me when I was younger lol but now as I get older I really love and appreciate the attention to detail in the animations
it makes me sad we'll never get shit like this again
The up close scenes where the best
Gumball hits close

That moment when you know the context
I've been a Flapjack fan ever since it came out!

"You have a lot of nerve being alive."
4:02 THE CUT OFF IS SO PERFECT. This show's humour so help me. The demented sounds and hideous closeups are so friggin funny to me I CAN'T
3:52 GOD OF WAR
It's funny that Flapjack somehow made a character more annoying than Flapjack in the show and used him only once.
Even with context
*it doesn’t get better the longer you watch*
its crazy how tv like this just doesnt exist in this format anymore, all of the cartoons put out now feel so empty
I’m sure there’s good stuff but I feel there’s been a shift away from shows with standalone episodes that you can pick up and watch anywhere, it feels like a lot of shows these days are written to either have long story arcs and/or aren’t given enough episodes to let the viewers fully immerse themselves in the settings. I enjoy both story-driven shows and miniseries that allow for as many episodes as is needed and no more, but episodic cartoons aren’t lesser.
Most modern content from the west is hollow these days
Yeah I'm 23 years old and cartoons now are nothing like they were when I was a kid.
@@oneinathousand2156This really rings true with The Fiona and Cake Adventure time spin-off. It's not bad imo, but Adventure Time did always worry about a huge overarching story, which is why I go back and watch a lot of those stand-alone episodes, but this spinoff seems to want to just always build off of the last, which is fine, but not as risky as shows like this were.
@@oneinathousand2156i love the old "none of the eps are connected. The characters could be involved in the chernoble incidient one day and be fine the next" format
I love the hyper detailed close ups of their faces, to me that's quality
4:03 still makes me cry laughing XD
This show. THIS SHOW.
Is like one hell of a psychedelic trip during its life span.
Its on the list of scary show's next to Courage the Cowardly Dog
2:28 that creeped the hell outta me😂😂

3:38 absolutely destroyed me. I forgot about that scene. Lol
4:08 When that silent kid in class roast someone out of nowhere
This show was a classic masterpiece for me and my family as a kid, the best.
How this show never got banned is a miracle.
Ik they even got away with the word molested, Season 2 ep 14 Bubby was crying tears on captain K, he said “what’s the big idea, molesting my dreams!”
Im glad i grew up with this type of cartoon

I remember stumbling upon this cartoon in the middle of the night alone, lol. I was actually creeped out by this cartoon (and also a lil creeped out by chowder and tiny bit creeped out of adventure time),, and now im determined to watch it!! Love the style and humor
Glad it wasn't the school or the cat episode that you stumble upon. Those episodes are creepy as hell as a kid and imagine watching it at night
1:04 😨
I will yeet that guy into the garbage can, he scared me when I was a kid 😰
This show terrified me as a kid and I just couldn't stop watching it
It’s terrifying now

The humour of this show was so ahead of its time!
Captn K’nuckles being voiced by Brian Doyle Murray makes this show even better for me lol

this show can air in adult swim just fine
This really needs to be on Checkered Past, the humor and horror elements would fit well with Adult Swim’s nature.
Overall enthusiasm and “A real life official junior trolley haaaaat” is the greatest scenes in cartoon history
The whole series is one big WTF moments! I will always love this show for it.
"You have a lot of nerve being alive" LMFAO that one caught me off guard. I think this show crossed the line a few times and probably shouldn't have been shown to kids but I loved every second of it.
1:58 when her ugly friend blocks your game
This show was one of my favorites growing up, it’s so underrated
3:27 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Looking back this cartoon was like something out of a fever dream 😂
Bubbie punching out Knuckles is super cathartic. Never challenge a mommy whale to a one on one fist fight, losing is the only outcome.
1:10 ...... God Damn It.
This show was just distilled nightmares and bubby
Man would love to go back to re -watch this goldmine of a show now and not be super scared watching it
Those creppy paintings out of nowhere made me love this show even more
0:04 I didn’t even laugh. I just went straight to tears. I’m crying. My chest hurts.
2:35 idk what’s scary, the fact he lazily crumbled paper into a cat or he’s to funny the universe did it for him.
Bro the legitimate creativity and thought and actual moral principles that are along side with them are insane.
overall enthusiasm
They were def on something when making this show
"You have alot of nerve being ALIVE."
"But it's gonna take more than that to impress m- OOOOOOOGHHHH!"
I’ve watched this show so much that all of these clips are perfectly in context to me
I can’t believe Flapjack is canon in adventure time
THE most hilarious is because JG Quintel (Creator and voice actor for Regular Show and Close Enough) works as creative director in Flapjack
I used to love this show and still do, It's one of a kind, It and Chowder are Unique.
If I remember correctly they both aired one after another. Chowder was my favorite and I always enjoyed Flapjack. Revisiting the shows I was surprised at how well the humor holds up
This shows close ups are unmatched
God this video unearthed so many buried memories I have of this show...good lord the nightmares I would get.
This was awesome and creative , never wanted to miss this on CN.
Even with context, _especially_ with context this show was one hell of a fever dream of an animation.
This was my favorite show as a kid, I was obsessed 😭

I always loved how the YEE HAW at 1:13 is so loud that the audio messes up.
4:25 that will be the Funniest face he ever made😂😂
fun fact : in the opening scene, the chin of the man on the right represents the balls of the quiet boy in the class who is just entering puberty
One of the best creepy funny cartoons from back in the days, how I miss the good ol days lmao
I love how the first scene implies that any time Flapjack is off-screen he's just doing *that.*
The damn creepy cat was outta pocket. To this day still creeps me out
