I've been having a stressful weekend, so this extremely soothing video is exactly what I needed. As always, watching you craft such a beautiful instrument is fascinating.
Thank you very much for your comment, it helps the channel tremendously! And I’m glad you enjoy it :) Make sure to check the other ones too as some are equally relaxing ☺️
Love your work. Seems to me though that using an external mould is more difficult and less efficient than an internal mould. What makes you use external?
Thank you very much for your comment and apologies for the late reply! I wouldn't say it's more difficult and less efficient. In fact some people would say it's more efficient (I'd also disagree with this, I think it's the same). One thing I like about it is how easy it is to make a very nice finishing of the inside of the ribs. However I use both external and internal, and I think they both have their pros and cons!
I was thinking the whole time how cumbersome the outside mold looks... until you started shaping the linings... Then I felt pretty silly. That is some beautiful, clean corner joinery.
@@안뇽-y9f Hi! Thanks for your comment and apologies for the late response! I'm afraid I don't know the brand of them, however, if you send me an email, I can send you some pictures (where there's a label I think) and I can also take their mesurments and let you know! Stay well :)

Hello Mr Lukas, thank you for the video. If it is okay, may I please know the brand of your japanese gouge?
And also the dimension of it :-)
