Too much separation when the big homie AC speaks about bloods & Piru period. At the end of the day we all fall under the same umbrella. In Prison, if its a Piru homie sayin hes not a Blood he's for sure gettin whipped by the homies, same as if a blood say he aint a Piru. There is N0 seperation.

@@terrencehadnot8551 he's seperated them in the beginning to let people know it's was seperation and pirus and bloods weren't united at first. Other anti crip gangs only united with ac because they saw how he stood up against the crips in prison everyday knowing he was a target and they couldn't do nothing but respect that and that's what made none crip sets join him behind the walls. He taught and instilled that into other homies in jail who then came home and brought that shit to the streets. We can't say he seperated them because history proves they weren't united at first and I can only imagine what he went through with the crips

    • @grock3149

@@terrencehadnot8551 yeah pirus and bloods under the same umbrella just like 83 hoovers don't consider themselves crips but fall under the crip umbrella, the pirus are represented the same way but still ride under the same nation. Ac ran with raymond and helped put that crip shit together so he kinda had already had the tools and the reputation to start whatever he wanted too. Not saying he did it on purpose but it's almost like he was forced to build something against the crips and once them bloods and pirus started shooting they woke the whole city up

@@RedStl They both have a point. The community used the term 'blood' or 'youngblood', long before the Pirus had formed. However, in prison is where the term 'Blood' became the anthesis to being a Crip - with 'Blood' originally being a Piru (who was started by AC). Just like AC said, it was the law who began grouping everyone against each other.
I can speak on the community part because even today in Oakland (and the Bay), where my family is from, people still say 'blood' or 'cuz'.. without being a Blood or Crip*

I remember being locked up with Salty, and Head Hauncho in either 73 or 74 and they were going hard about Piru's saying Blood and them letting them know it was cuz. The term Blood was already in use by our people, my homie Nasty Ed was locked up in YTS with AC , We started using Blood in Inglewood about 1974. We weren't Inglewood Family Bloods, we just used the term to distinguish between us and the Crips. I mentioned this in my interview the term Blood came to different neighborhoods at different times. I knew Denver Lanes. Swans, Brims, Piru's in the 70's up until I stopped banging around 1980 none of us had Blood attached to our set names at that time, we were all adopting the Blood greeting but we were not a gang called the Bloods. It was still Family, Bounty Hunter, Denver Lane, Athens Park Boys, Brims, Swans, Piru, Bishop, Outlaw in the early to late 70's.

AC makes alot of since because I've always heard from older Bloods that the reason Bloods was formed was because Crips was real deep in prison and the opposite gangs ( Familys . Pirus..Bounty hunters. Brims) were catching alot of heat from the Crips. So AC makes alot of since they had to hook up and form a Blood car... In the pens right now today Bloods and Crips ride together against other nationalities because they are out numbered.

HERE'S AN ARTICLE ON THE BLOODS FORMING IN 1972 AND IM NOT SAYING ITS TRUE I JUST KNOW MOST IN THE MEDIA SAYS THEY FORMED IN 1972
The Bloods are a predominantly African American street gang that originated in South Central Los Angeles, California in 1972. The genesis of the Bloods street gang is traced to the intense street violence that consumed the city in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Much like their rivals, the Crips, the founding of the Bloods is steeped in legend and it is difficult to definitively construct a founding narrative. Most scholars believe that the Bloods were originally founded as a confederation of smaller gangs in opposition to the larger and domineering Crips gang. Those gangs included the Brims, Bounty Hunters, Denver Lanes, Athens Park Gang, Bishops, and, most prominently, the Pirus.

    • @2Pkb25

      www.google.com/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/theobserver/2000/jan/09/life1.lifemagazine4
. But the Pirus were uneasy about the Crip hegemony. In 1972, they allied with another local group, the Leuders Park Hustlers, to form a new counter-alliance. The Pirus stripped off their blue and started wearing red. Soon they were calling themselves Bloods.

Just as jackamoe said when things are happening in the jails things are also happening in the streets. Bloods may not have been well known and wide spread to everybody in 72, but that doesn’t mean there weren’t people claiming it in the streets and jails and vice versa . You can’t be everywhere at the same time. 74 was probably the year when it became solidified because the reputation had grew enough by then

Let me add my two cents in...... Let us remember what we wore before colors.....As cat ceaser broke out the Ace deuce Hat's... Although Bounty hunters too wore this it was the Crip signature.... What years was this.....The bishop wore the brim hat....So did the outlaws..... Pirus wore a cap with the snap bottom in front.....The only piru I ever saw wearing an Ace was my good friend Bartender.....Not all Pirus hung with Bishop's....Ludders park not only live next door to Compton Bishop's.they were our brother hood ( The 92 bishop) This was our dress code doing my time of the foolishness 72/74....... Although studder box says he remembered seeing bishop written on the walls in 71/72 and continue to repeat this.....And he actually believe and stick too this.... However there were no Bishop's in 71.....not until mid June of 72......He was just 8 years of age and i was in bishop leadership...n of story.......I believe my buddy Jackamoe is remembering The term young blood which we all called one another.... Young people ( Black) was call young blood....In a nut shell.....It wasn't affiliated with gang's......The Hat's and caps from 1970 to 74.. identify what set you was from..... Remember in watts their were no Crips in watts so the bounty hunters 71/73 many wore the Ace deuce hat....And we knew they were hunters..... Jimmy the Bishop

What the Crips did to my OG Ronnie Walker (Athen's Park), happen to him when he was locked up in Y.A. I use to see him, all the time. He had to wear a helmet, because he would have seizures from being stomp by the Crips. It was Ricardo "Ricky" Bell brotha(DLG), who killed Chocolate. The Hoovas killed Ricky on Vermont and 67th, right in front of my older sister in 1974, when they stopped at the store. They shot at our house on 117st, between Main and Spring Street.

@@bods4dadsaquil912 Exactly...Blood was not meant to be a title/name for these gangs. It was simply lingo they used to unite themselves and oppose the Crips. It morphed from a gang term into a gang label as the years went on.

@@AQUAPHREESH193 According OG Frog from Bounty Hunters, the burgundy came from Lueders Park Piru in 1975. He says red is the original color for Piru St.

Speechless ... entertaining but very informative as well. These guys have influence as originaters and founders and to see them come together, chop it up, agree to disagree on certain things but primarily corroborate each other is amazing and inspiring. Its inspiring because all have expressed regret and you can't claim something they started and not feel some type of way about what they saying. Those that are ten toes down may not stop because of how deep in it they are, but this may prevent those who haven't joined yet and put in work and suffered loss. These discussions may not stop gang bangin but I'm sure this has saved some lives and for that this priceless. I have nothing but the utmost respect for Kev Mac and his movement and we all need to support this brother 💯💯💯!!!
