In the Philippines, it doubles as recreational areas. The Philippines doesn't have, or doesn't have as much national parks as that of the US for recreation. Even just regular parks, due to how cities are clustered, especially in the National Capital Region, there's just simply no space to make parks. In cities outside of the NCR region, it isn't feasible to build parks because the land is either filled with jungles, or is being used for agriculture. Solar park applicable only below the typhoon belt areas. It consumes alot of agricultural land. Maybe you put up in the lake o bay area is more favorable.
I hope they considered the potential environmental impact of this project. This is good per se, since additional power source that is not petroleum based, pero yung malalaking solar farms sa US, ang naging finding, loss of habitat for some animal species, also, consider potential floodings with the loss of plants and vegetation for the area cleared away to put up the solar panels. so wala na natural flora to soak up the water, retain the soil, etc. etc. basta ba lahat yun nabigyan ng konsiderasyon for the long run.
True they need to deforestation the land in order to build solar powerplant but their is better choices like all housing, commercial and industrial buildings are required to have solar panels base on their energy required and sell surplus power and to prevent deforestation

Rainy season cuts generation by half. The heat that these panels will cause on the surrounding area will either turn it into a desert or promote even more rain.
Solar and Housing companies should have a deal that each house will have solar on each roof and car port, The company building the houses can ask for a discount if the solar company does the maintenance and can also have upgrades like Battery banks and Hot water solar.
For my own opinion from nueva ecija much better give to individual house hold to operate per 3 to 5kw and and excess send to grid as export . Less maintenance for big project.
solar philippines has all winning in this project ..even after 30 years those land acquisitions will triple in land prices in the future if in case they want develop it in residential areas..
philippines have scarcity of land, in fact most agricultural products are now imported such as onions, rice etc. ..i wish the solar business investors will make good use of the land not just for solar, but for agriculture - solar combine called agrivoltaic solar farm; or livestocks grazings with solar farms, in that manner the land which is already scarce will be used dual purpose for energy and food consumption to its starving populace.
Better investment. If they can build the World's largest Ikea then surely they can build the World's largest solar plant especially since oil prices are being greedily increased by foreign countries
Best idea coming out of the Philippines in a long time. And with more such projects you can hopefully forget about your nuclear money pit ideas and finally produce truly green energy absoluletly independent. Hopefully it'll come to fruition, and not just disappear like so many other ambitious energy projects. It's time for cheaper energy in the PH, that'll help a lot with foreign investment and in turn general economic growth. And again: completely independent, no oil, no gas, no uranium.
@sran Yes, but also not the first time this happened to PAL. At what point will you stop throwing money at it, hoping it will fix things, before you realize it's a failed structure that just might not work anymore and money might not be the underlying problem.
What about the base load lol? And I know your response, so I'll pre-state my next question: what are the batteries made of and how is it mined? I rest my case.

Wow that space should be used as a farmland. Philippines can't even make food for it self. Used to export rice now Philippines is importing rice fron Thailand and Vietnam. That's the problem with solar power, it needs a huge area in order ti produce significant power. Wind power is much better.
One thing about good in investing in Solar Power that we are very dependent in Oil and Gas that played by greedy OPEC. There are bright futures ahead of us in Solar Power and EV to eliminates the emissions of OPEC players.
Make sure the solar power technology for the 2000 ha will not crowd out substantially existing land for food production for food security. Land is very scarce in Philippines.

It will make your personal usage free at the end at ang excess.. binibili ng government from grid nearby. Ang problem lng... Gusto tlga I monopolize ng Meralco alike ang business.
I think this is already existing but without the storage....it is visible on google maps
This ginormous feat should be replicated by more developed countries to reduce the carbon footprint of the world. Congratulations to the men and women behind this project. Mabuhay!
Get ready for a sum to own few shares, a good investment for everyone. Support this project
Solar park applicable only below the typhoon belt areas. It consumes alot of agricultural land. Maybe you put up in the lake o bay area is more favorable.
You're correct but eveb If in the Bay area or lake, it will break into pieces once Typhoon no. 5 strikes too..

Huli nang hinaing mo. The project had already started. May allocated area na. Struggling sa power complain, ngayon may ginagawa na gobierno complain parin. Walang patutungan sa sayo. Ang galing galing mo Ikaw nalang mag presidente. Pinang aralan yan bago ginawa.
Great. This Solar park can hold the record until 2030 when 5GW Solar park will be inaugurated in Dholera.
WOWWWW... CONGRATULATIONS PHILIPPINES🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️
Is this project part of ac energy an affiliate of the ayala corp.?
Rainy season cuts generation by half. The heat that these panels will cause on the surrounding area will either turn it into a desert or promote even more rain.
Wow, its a dream coming true. Once more, the Philppines is on the rise and this time leading the world. Maharlika has the funding!
San Jose Nueva Ecija, 20pesos per watts ang presyo.
Correction: 3500 hectares, not 2000
solar philippines has all winning in this project ..even after 30 years those land acquisitions will triple in land prices in the future if in case they want develop it in residential areas..
Thanks for this update!~
I thought it is already operational. Its actually still on the drawing board.
This is a good to go. I think theres 2 of this kind of projects that will benefit the countries energy problem.
Very promising project. We can enter into some consortium. 3.5BUSD is not an easy money. Solar Phils and Prime Infra needs to talk to us
philippines have scarcity of land, in fact most agricultural products are now imported such as onions, rice etc. ..i wish the solar business investors will make good use of the land not just for solar, but for agriculture - solar combine called agrivoltaic solar farm; or livestocks grazings with solar farms, in that manner the land which is already scarce will be used dual purpose for energy and food consumption to its starving populace.
I really hope this will be a success.
Better investment. If they can build the World's largest Ikea then surely they can build the World's largest solar plant especially since oil prices are being greedily increased by foreign countries
Maiging-maigi iyan kung mayroon din tayo
Guys like me will fund it to better the country.
What is the cost of this project and what is the annual maintenance costs to keep it running????
😳🤩
🙏
Thank you lord!
👍
Best idea coming out of the Philippines in a long time. And with more such projects you can hopefully forget about your nuclear money pit ideas and finally produce truly green energy absoluletly independent. Hopefully it'll come to fruition, and not just disappear like so many other ambitious energy projects. It's time for cheaper energy in the PH, that'll help a lot with foreign investment and in turn general economic growth. And again: completely independent, no oil, no gas, no uranium.
wradak, this will be privately financed so they really need to make it work or else...that's billions of dollars down the drain.
MAGANDA...
Goodluck to this project!
Go for it philipines
Great project but for sure it is really a challenging in many ways before and after this project.
SPNEC and ACEN are the stock investments of the future 🎉
Where can I buy shares of these stocks...???
You needed to have a brokerage first in order to buy.
I know how much the solar panels cost. How much will the building permits cost ?
Bangon Pilipinas! Habol Pilipinas!, LORD, FATHER GOD ALMIGHTY!, continue to bless our country the Philippines to move forward...
Being an archipelago, Solar power is a valid solution for the Philippines.
By God's grace , So be it Lord, Trusting and leaning in Your gracious blessings in Jesus Name , Amen Hallelujah!
This is very promising. Imagine electricity price cuts of almost half? Delicious!!!
Wow that space should be used as a farmland. Philippines can't even make food for it self. Used to export rice now Philippines is importing rice fron Thailand and Vietnam. That's the problem with solar power, it needs a huge area in order ti produce significant power. Wind power is much better.
we need more that kind in Iligan City, Mindanao.
Thumbs up to the 29-year-old CEO of Solar Philippines, Leandro Leviste. ❤️👍
One thing about good in investing in Solar Power that we are very dependent in Oil and Gas that played by greedy OPEC. There are bright futures ahead of us in Solar Power and EV to eliminates the emissions of OPEC players.
Thanks God
Some of solar panel installation is in Bulacan going to Nueva ecija by Solar Philippines
it is just too good to be true for the philippines.
India is currently way ahead with largest solar park, the Bhadla solar park and is still building more.

It’s great that Philippines is transitioning as Solar Powered country.
Praying for this...
To build...as in future tense.. In a land bank area...
I have been involved in countries with hurricanes yearly. Construction engineers will solve the issue of typhoons to project the solar farm!
9.7per kwh? i dont think so..sadly,its more than that..its probably around 16/kwh? we need this project to really lower the cost of electricity!❤
